Ball for dry conditions
« on: June 10, 2015, 08:04:14 PM »
Any suggestions on what ball to use with an alley that hardly puts oil down?  They are getting fancy and putting down the red, blue and white patterns (this month is White 3) but they don't put enough oil down so it basically dries up by the end of practice (or before then).

I have a tropical breeze and it does break but the ball is inconsistent (I use it more for picking up the 10 pin but I may have to go back to my black ice since the t breeze breaks sometimes).

My friend just tried the punch out but it broke too much.

I wanted to stay away from the "plastics" so looking for a ball for really dry lanes.  Someone else mentioned the Super Natural, anyone use that ball for dry conditions?  What about the Rocket?

thanks in advance.

the super natural is a really nice blend of urethane and reactive. really early and predictable with a little more continuation like a reactive. another option would be the columbia deep freeze. high RG with a slightly higher diff than the breeze. around .26 if im not mistaken. i think if you put the pin down on that one it would be really nice. i also think the scream/shout from roto is a step up from the breeze if you want to stay with reactive resin.

if the punch out was too much the rocket is even stronger than that so i would think it would be a no go.

Couldn't help but notice this post and for what its worth, go with a Boo-yah from 900 Global. The only catch is its release date is 6 July. Another ball that would really smooth this pattern out is a Break Down. Let me know if you have any questions on either.
