Congratulations once again to Dean!  Winner at the Mt Vernon Open, and shot another 800, this time 808 with the Raging Bull Charged!

Thanks for the post Ryan.

Everyone was in awe of my ball reaction all day. Threw the Charged all day until stepladder. I switched to my pin in palm blackout for the finals and was launching it over the left gutter. Nothing beats that ball and layout when you have to open up your angles.

I was never was a fan of assym balls until I signed with Seismic.

Congrats on the win Dean.

I too would like to see a video with that layout.  Almost exactly how I lay out most of my stuff.

It looks like you took the shine off of the Charged also.

Great bowling Dean. Nice to see those Seismic balls shreading the rack !!! With that drill on your raging bull charged, it must get down the lane pretty good and snap quite hard with good continuation, right??  Can't wait to try those 2 balls...

Layout is intended to decrease flare a little. I like pin down for opening up my angles in the front. With it being a shiny pearl it is super clean through the front and when it hits the dry instead of flipping it will give me a nice hook/roll reaction which is the BEST way to carry.

Most people would score so much better if their philosophy in layouts was reversed. If you think you need to go pin up to open angles your wrong. All that will do is give you skid when you miss into the puddle and too quick of a response when it hits dry early.

The information above is intended for easier patterns which is what the majority of people bowl on. If your trying to open up angles on an over/under wall you will have better scoring with something that will still pick up its roll in right spot when you miss in

Great bowling Dean and I appreciate the ball recommendations! The Blackout seems to be the reaction I'm looking for and a great benchmark ball! Thanks, Bruce

I've drilled myself a pin down Blackout at the end of the past season and I can honestly say its my favorite benchmark ball EVER!!! This ball has got to be the easiest piece of equipment to sell...
