Post by: vkowalski1970 on August 19, 2013, 10:02:53 AM
This has become an addiction, purchasing balls without ever seeing them thrown.....something I never have done in the past....lol

After trying the Venator and the Long Horn, I'd do the same thing . . lol my wife isn't going to let me buy another ball so soon, but I'll get the Platinum eventually.

And the Platinum is remake of the original Solaris which was carry machine but with a few alterations...what they are I will not divulge yet.

Put it like this I have waited for this ball for years

I would tell you to drill it pin up the Dominion is pretty strong for most people. OOB it is very dull I had my best look with the surface at 500 abralon then Polish over the top

So glad to see that I am not the only one with this addiction, just got back into bowling after 30 years. I am 45 now and love the game more now because of such great equipment, balls, shoes , slide soles and heels. Got over 45+ balls why ? I don't know but it beats drugs and drinking, guess you can say its my new addiction. I know this one won't kill me and my family is happy now so am I and I save $ too. Seeing this post makes me happy, thanks guys.  ;D.

I'm not bowling league this year, only being the extra man on the team! I'm still bowling tournaments and working in a bowling center I get all the practice I need and sometimes on a daily bases! I do have a Seismic Venator and Raging Bull Stampede on the way and after watching Gunny's video's, I excited to try the Seismic line! I just wish I would have gotten the Seismic Solaris Blackout when I had a chance! Look's like the Platinum is in my future!!! Just my $.02, Bruce
Maybe Ryan will release a new Blackout and call it the Solaris Addiction or Blackout Addiction!!!

They didn't have a Blackout Addiction and the name Addiction isn't protected any longer! That's how Motiv was able to use Primal Rage even though Columbia used that name back in the day!! Plus, the name isn't a trademark of EBI and isn't currently being used and hasn't been used for a while!

So I got the ball and the pin distance was only 1.5 inches....My pro shop guys layed it out a bunch of different ways and didnt really like how it looked. So he suggested 40x4.25x60 as the best looking layout for that ball. I wanted to follow Meno's suggestion( 50x5x30) but he told me he would have had to drill the fingers to china to make that work and didn't think it was a good idea.
So he is drilling it tonight and I will pick it up tomorrow afternoon and give it a try. That layout put the pin right below my ring finger and the MB on my VAL....so Im curious to see how it reacts....
We need to get a shop up here in the chicago burbs that can learn and sell Seismic....Im the only one I know of in the area that knows anything about them. Exceopt for the guys who have seen me throw the Blackout..lol My shop is a DV8 staff member but knows not to push me that way...lol

I am new to the seismic addiction also, i have sold everything i had, and for now on will only throw seismic. I threw my longhorn for the first time last monday, shot 618, ball does what's advertised, left alot of frickin 10 pins though, which is a common theme in our house. Just ordered a stampe, can't wait to get it punched and throw it.

Sevenpin, best place is online out here. By the time you pay the amount for the ball + drilling, you're at what you would pay retail.

I know Doom, it would just be nice to see the ball in person before I buy.

I bought the Platinum before i saw a video, I was nervous, but it is a great ball....They are always spot on with what the ball is made for. I have had quite a few seismic balls and have loved almost all of them..
