Raging Bull vs Bank Roll VS OMG solid
« on: October 12, 2011, 05:41:03 AM »
I am liking what I see from the Raging Bull. I am wondering how it compares to the other oilers coming out of San Antonio. I see Ryan throwing the ball out on the youtube, but he makes about anything hook. Biggest oiler I have in the bag is a Bank, but looking for something for the real soup.

Thanks for all of your help.

AfterMath Solid will hook in a lake if you take the surface down from OOB. I had a one drilled pin under bridge and dulled to about 500 abralon and it was a monster. Smoothed quick backends while retainingl length and hitting power but it had enough under the hood to get a strong look in even the heaviest oil.

Best ball for the soup i have seen from them is the Requiem.  OMG handled a good amount of oil for me, but the Requiem handled a bit more, plus it read the lane better imho.

The RB was hook stupid for me, early and a ton down lane. The OMG Solid was longer due in part to the higher rg core numbers with plenty of back end continuation. Haven't drilled a BR so I have no comment on it.

Steve,

How did you have yours drilled? It looks like it corners harder than the bank roll video or the omg video that britton did. Ryan, send videoballreviews a RB so I can compare, lol.

For longer patterns or high volume you can't beat the aftermath. keep it at box finish. Also keep it clean because it looks cooler that way

I think the RB is most useful on medium sport patterns. If you think about it, you want a ball to have a mellower reaction when it exits the pattern. The core on the RB is perfect for that. Add as much surface as necessary in practice to get the desired roll. I've only drilled one because I like it for what its used for. With heavy volume I feel it doesn't get into a strong of a roll as my pin down aftermath.

Compared, I would say the aftermath is much more overall hook but the RB is going to be your ball that gets you out in front on tough patterns.

The requiem is something else. I cannot use that ball out of box like people do on this forum. Only way I can get it to go through the pins correctly is with a coat of polish. I've drilled it 3x and all of them had trouble through the pins out of box or sanded down more.
