I don't have the bowling accolades that I assume most or all company staffers possess but my ball driller wants me to apply for this. I'm a passionate bowler (and golfer) with only a 299 and 300 to hold to my name. More than enough 700s but most importantly a respect for this sport. Teammates and friends refer to me as the coach or professor, always willing to lend a helping hand to someone who may be struggling but I'm by far not the most knowledgeable bowler around. I get the most enjoyment out of watching others succeed from something small I may have told or shown them. I say all of this because there are probably plenty of 'ME' out there and I want you all to know that it's okay to apply and take your chances on special opportunties like this. I won't feel bad that I'm not considered or turned away. I will always know that when I strap up my bowling shoes, I give myself every chance to score well, learn something new, pass it along to others, and have fun. Seismic is a great brand and it is married to my game. I hope to continue to roll well with them and allow others a chance to see what it is I'm experiencing watching me throw their equipment. I've read the requirements to be considered to join the Seismic amateur staff and unfortunately I myself don't have may bowling accolades which I would imagine is a serious plus in being considered for a staff position. Guess I need to go out and practice more and win a state tournament or two and add on honor scores on PBA experience patterns before I try sending an application in the future. I think it'll be more prudent of me to improve my game and then try to apply once the opportunity arises again.

I too felt that I didnt have what it took to be on staff, but was selected in January. I posted then and I will share this again: If you are just doing this for the free gear then it's doing it for the wrong reasons.
Being on any staff is a 24/7 deal, be prepared to reperesent that brand in everything you do, from posting on your personal Facebook account, tweeting, even what you do and say at the lanes. Folks will associate your words and actions with that brand, so be prepared.
As for bowling accolades, how does 800 sets or 300 games sell balls? Words and actions and being accessable 24/7 goes alot farther than anything you can bowl. Know that brand upside down and inside out, be prepared to field any and all questions.
Most importantly, when you review equipment, be honest...if you dont match up with it-be honest, the company needs negative feedback as much as it needs positive. If you dont match up, do as much as you can to find out why, drilling, xtra holes, surface...try everything.
Anyways, hope this helps potential entrants. Ryan and the guys make great stuff, have an awesome company and just are great guys, whoever they pick good luck to them!!

This is something I REALLY wish I could do, but, alas... Working to the point you only ever have time for 1 league night, you can't really effectively push bowling. To those who apply and have the time, best of luck! And if you're in the Tulsa area and get it, we need to get together! I've got quite an interest in Seismic.

If you are interested in trying to be on staff give it a shot. Selling product is not about average and games and stopncrank said.

Exactly. If you are a respected bowler in your area and people look to you for advice and recommendations, that's what we are looking for. Not a matter of numbers, but does help get you noticed, but how you interact with bowlers. We want to get the best equipment into the hands of people who want to get better and score more.
