7th Annual Southern Masters

January 26th - 28th, 2007

Friday Night Sweeper

Doubles & Singles
4 Games accross 8 lanes

Singles Entry = $40.00
Doubles Entry = $20.00 per bowler

The payout will be 1 in 6
You will bowl Singles & Doubles at the same time.

Bowl with as many partners as you would like!

NO DOUBLES ONLY!

Main Tournament Qualifying

Saturday January 27th, 2007

A Squad 10:00 am
B Squad 2:30 pm

Entry $140
Re-Entry $125

Estimated Prize Fund
(Based on 80 Entries)

1st = $2500
2cd = $1250
3rd - 4th = $750 each
5th - 8th = $375 each
9th - 16th = $200 each


USBC Rules will govern this event, however, this tournament is NOT certified by the USBC.

The tournament director reserves the right to reject any and all entries and will decide all disputes.

Bowlers may enter either or both squads with the higher score prevailing.

A bowler may NOT remove him or herself from the A squad and be allowed to bowl B squad.

Lanes will be oiled prior to both squads on Saturday and prior to the final on Sunday.

FORMAT:

1.) Qualifying will consiste of 8 games accross 16 lanes.

2.) After both qualiying squads are completed, the top 16 scores will advance to the finals seeded 1 thru 16.

3.) In case of a tie in qualifying, the bowler with the HIGHEST final (8th) game will be awarded the higher seed.

4.) Finalists will bowl 3 game matches against opponant (to be determined via a seeding bracket) and total pins will determine the winner. Winners will advance and losers wil be eliminated, and will receive the prize for that position.

5.) In case of a tie during a match play, a 9th & 10th frame roll-off will be bowled until a winner is determined.

6.) Finals matches will be bowled "Match Game Style"

7.) Practice: There will be 10 minutes of practice before the start of qualifying squads and the initial round of finals, thereafter there will be one ball thrown on each lane at the start of all remaining matches.

8.) All 16 finalist will cash regardless of the number of entries.

CALCUTTA!

CASH ONLY!

Saturday evening after qualifying in the lounge at Circle Bowl.

The 16 finalists will be auctioned randomly.

$50.00 minium bid.

Each finalist has the option of buying 1/2 of him or herself.

Payout after tournament!

1st = 42%
2cd = 28%
3rd & 4th = 15% each

Buffalo Wings, Pizza, Soft Drinks and Beer provided!
(10% cut for calcutta expenses)

He was a great bowler and a wonderful person as well.

This is probably one of the best tournaments in the South, so come on down and have a great time.

Plenty of side action if interested besides the CALCUTTA!

If you bowled Nationals a couple of years ago, you will remember that they have a couple of casinos in Baton Rouge too!

I hope to see every one there!

I believe it would be somewhere in Baton Rouge,Louisiana area.

Jon was actually my doubles partner for ABC/USBC Nationals towards the end of his life. Such a great guy! Such a shame that life had to end so young! I enjoyed watching him take 2 balls to nationals and shoot 1900 or more every year!!

JJ you will always be missed!
