Moving to Oklahoma City
« on: January 05, 2011, 12:03:56 AM »
I'll be moving there in about 5 months.  Where's the best houses/leagues in or around this area?

Thanks.

Monday night at Holiday Lanes

Wednesday night at AMF Boulevard

Decent competitive leagues, some brackets and pots, not much.  No scratch leagues in this city.  Best pro shop is Anne Marie Duggan in Edmond at Boulevard.

Also check around there is a 10 game scratch sweeper about once a month that moves from house to house that is pretty good.

For leagues I would go with what Mike Austin stated, these are the best competetive leagues and most money.

I think that Sunny Lanes in Del City had a sweeper type every Sunday night, you would have to call, but they did have that going.

There is always tournaments going on at Yukon, but entries are $100-$150.

Anne Marie's pro shop is by far the best one in the city and wouldn't recommend any other one.

The guy that runs the proshop in Yukon is the one that does the 10 game sweeper. Also some good tournaments down the road in Tulsa.

Not a bad area to be in. Tinker doesn't look to bad either if your USAF.

I am stationed at Tinker and know some people that can get you involved in the bigger tournament scene. The guy (Curtis) who runs the pro shop on base is pretty good. He has drilled about 10 balls for me and i have never had a problem. Hit me up on here when you get around.
