STL Area bowlers lose a good friend
« on: January 04, 2008, 03:22:50 AM »
on Jan 3, 2008 Mike Halwe passed away from a massive heart attack. Mike had prior health problems and last February he suffered two minor heart attacks. Mike had previously owned and operated Twin Bridges Pro Shop inside St. Charles Lanes in St. Charles, Mo. I have known Mike for over 10 years and he has had many personal tragedies but he always kept a smile on his face, was quick with a joke and was a good hearted person who loved bowling and his love for his dogs. I could always go up to the pro shop and talk bowling with Mike or just about anything else and Mike always made you laugh. He was very knowledgable about the game of bowling and it was always fun to talk to Mike and hang out with him. He will be deeply missed by myself as well as others in the STL area.

Here is an article that was written about Mike on Dec 24, 2007 by a local area journalist from the STL Post Dispatch. If you read it you can see what kind of person Mike was and the people who cared about him.

May you rest in peace Mike.
