I LAYOUT THIS BALL FOR HEAVY OIL--CG KICKED TO THE RIGHT OF PIN WITH PAP 41/4 FROM THE PIN. THIS PRODUCED SKID TO MID LANE THEN IT WENT INTO A HEAVY ROLL AND SET UP AT THE POCKET. HIT LIKE A MAC TRUCK!! I BOWL AT THREE DIFFRENT HOUSES---AT TWO OF THEM I AVG 212 0R BETTER. THIS ONE PLACE, HAS A HEAVY OIL PATTEN AND I CAN ONLY AVG 185(THANKS TO SPARE SHOOTING.)MY BACKYARD BULLY & XEPTION 5.0 WOULD JUST GO THROUGH THE BREAK POINT.
THE HOTROD SS WITH THAT OIL LAYOUT ALLOWED ME TO PLAY UP THE BOARDS (10-12)AND A NICE SKID,ROLL AND SEUP AT THE POCKET. I SHOT AN EASY 676 SET MY FIRST 600+ THIS YEAR, AT THIS HOUSE. I'M NOW WONDERING WHAT KIND OF REACTION I WOULD GET WITH A LABEL LEVERAGE DRILL FOR THE OTHER HOUSES. THIS BALL FLAT OUT HITS AND MIXES WELL.

I layed mine out with the pin slightly above mid span with a 2 inch pin and the cg kicked out to about 5 o clock and it sucks..I have above average hand with medium speed and it just rolls out and hits the pins soft as a pillow..I regreat every time i get a storm ball..deuce, ace, vertigo, ss, all crappy...going to stick with the brunswick high performance and columbia mid perf.

OK, firstly I'm right-handed and twist it up. (Circa 450 RPM @ pocket I'm told by a reputable pro shop operator from Buffalo who was in Australia for Brunswick.) Lane surface was AMF synthetic, holiday shot down, so pretty short.

Drilled this ball for med-dry. Pin 5" to PAP, CG 4½" to PAP. Wanted to store the energy on bigger conditions. Holy smoke! Does this thing pack some wallop! Played 30 board out to 8ish @45ft and it still had plenty of crunch left in it. As you can imagine, it took a fair bit of wrist to stop it rolling out.

First game out of the box, 248. Then I realised I hadn't got the thumb right as the blister came up... Oh well, there's always next week and now I have time to fix it up. Coming back to bowling is a bit hard on my now soft hands...

This ball will be a real winner once it picks up a bit of oil to tame it down.

Likes
Surface clears the heads excellently
Twin puck block system gives predictable midlane, break point and backend
Hits like a truck

Dislikes
Same as my Ragin' Banshee (link below) - the smell
I think the colour didn't turn out quite as planned. Looks like an old rubber ball!

I drilled a 14# unit up as a way of getting back from surgery a little quicker. As I normally throw 16#, so I was a little skeptical. After 4 weeks of bowling on 3 leagues in 2 houses, here are my thoughts.

Right Handed
Style: Tweener with above average speed
Average 191-200

The coverstock seem to be too strong for the core. You can square up early on a fresh shot and have a very good reaction. As the shot breaks down and you move left the medium RG core w/low differentil makes it difficult to turn the corner with much energy at all.
The only place I would think it would accell is on a flat house shop or possibly a short sport pattern.

I drilled up a 15# ss for maximum backend and it has been crushing!!! in tournaments it is unstopable no matter what shot is out there. it rolls smooth through the heads and snaps like the fired up.  ive only had the ball about a month or so and have 2 300's and an 803 series. i dont see what there is not to like about this ball other than the scent...i dont think peach is on high demand! lol other than that it gets an A+! enjoy!

This ball is a monster!  I can't really tell you exactly how i got it drilled, but was on the storm handout that came with it.  It was for the ball to go down and snap in.  Well, i don't know if its how i throw the ball, but i doesn't do that.  Instead, it has the smoothest arc i have seen in a ball.  Oh its beautiful.  I did however use it on sport shot for the first time.  it was the cheeta pattern, and i was able actually to go down and in with it.  and it fianlly did what it was drilled to do.  so, maybe it just needs more oil to do its job.  but anyway...  the ball has become my new best friend.  It hits like a truck and is very smooth.  Its a great find.

This ball is 3 years and it still rocks. Its a great starter ball on kegel patterns. This ball has an early roll ball motion because of the reactor solid coverstock with enough finish to carry through the pocket. This ball really on the scorpion and the chameleon patterns but works well on the other 3.
