I just drilled this ball with the pin under my fingers.  It is predictable and rolls evenly with this drilling.  On the few games that I have rolled it so far, it hits the pocket hard.  I used it on a fresh league condition and I have a high rev rate with average speed.  Very good one from Storm.

POWER PLAYERS, HURRAY UP AND GET ONE!!!
4x5 pin under the ring finger
2.5 pin - 2.36 top

This nugget was punched in hopes of finally retiring my '96 Lightning. From the few games I bowled with it, I think my Lightning can finally take a break. This ball is very clean through the fronts and it picks up the mid and backs well. It does not jump off the dry, instead it's an easy to read arc. Off of my 6x4 Thunder Struck, I moved everything 5 right and was in a zone I rarely see.

This ball will see some tournament action for sure as the lanes are guaranteed to catch on fire.

The Jolt solid reminds me a lot of the old Lightening Storm. The Accu-Tread cover is very clean through the fronts and mids, and the solid has a very strong "arc" through the pins. The core of this ball is very rolly and the shell is extremely tunable. With just a little surface, you will see some similarities of the X-Factor Deuce ( same coverstock ). The Jolt solid is a little stronger than i originally expected. If you are looking at this ball thinking Hot Rod line, think again. You wont be seeing the "long and left" reaction out of this ball. You will be seeing control and predictability, with a very nice entry angle.

The Jolt pearl is a little weaker than the solid. The pearl coverstock gets the ball down the lane quite a bitter further, but the milder reaction downlane keeps this ball very controlable. You wont be seeing a "jerk" downlane with this ball, but more of a subtle roll off of the breakpoint. This ball will need some friction to make it react, so pick your spots with this ball. When the lanes start to burn up, this ball will be ideal !

SMOOOOOOTH. thats the one word that can describe this ball.... got this ball to be my go to ball when the lanes break down and my xxcel starts to run, but this ball is alot more agressive than i was lead to believe. a harder turn that i actually wanted but still enough of a step down that i can still use it after breakdown/carrydown occurs. plus it has a pretty good smell. overall a very very good ball, my first storm ball infact and after seeing how smooth this one is i may consider more storm in the future. 9 of 10.

Pin over Ring finger and CG kick out an inch to the right

This is the kind of ball that fits my game perfectly. Check out profile. This ball is very predictable and smooth off of the break point. Out of the box the ball was a little too shiny for me so I scuffed it up just a little bit.
Took it out for practice on a shot with some of the puddle knocked down and not much carry down. Opened up with the first 22 in a row and finished with a sick 855. This ball has a nice predictable arc.
In league last week I shoot 704. Left a lot of ringing tens in game two when the carry down hit. While this ball does not jump off of the dry you might get tens if you have too big of a puddle in the middle. I really wish my house would quit putting 70 units in the middle.
This week I shoot 771, seems I was getting thru the ball soooo good all nite. I will be using this ball all year. I winner from storm for a skid/hook release like mine.

My PAP is 4 1/4 over 1/2 up
Right hand Tweener

Drill Pattern Provided by Steve K at STORM. Wanted something to use on short patterns and this is it. PIN/CG to PAP is 5.5". PIN/CG are stacked down the center of my grip. Box finish but plan on keeping this one shined with STORM REACTA SHINE.

This ball is definitely worth every penny spent and will always be in my bag. When the lanes start to break down and nothing else works, bring this one out! First night in league averaged 230 on a sloppy second shift. I highly recommend this one to complete their STORM lineup!

This is one of my very best balls that I have in my bag. I am a high rev person. It goes long and snaps. When it snaps and hits the pocket its like a bomb. It is very loud and goes through the pocket like no tomorrow.  I shot plenty of 600's with it. I won a tournament with it and I shot 667 with it.  I would recommend this ball.  Very good. I have the pin under my fingers and I average 187 in league, but I am only 14.  I am fixing to get the Total NV drilled and see wat that does.

This is my first review.

Okay, so my coach and I decided to go for a weaker ball for drier lanes, and we decided on the Jolt.  I'm not much of a power player, but I have been working on getting some more power into my game.  Anyway, I found this ball to be a bit more versatile than expected.  I can bring this thing out on dry lanes, and sometimes even medium if I want to play straighter.  I had a bit of trouble with this ball at first, back when I had a lower ball speed and less rotation.  The ball seemed to want to read the dry to much and I was getting a lot of 4 and 9 pins. (or both if it went a little high)  However, since then, we've upped my speed and rotation a bit, and the ball is now an absolute monster.  I usually play straight up 5-7 with this ball, but occasionally I will put a little bit of swing on it if it overreacts.  If I want to use it with a bit more oil, I either have to go right up to the gutter, or slow down a bit and bring it inside (12-14).  The cover on it has no trouble turning the corner when it gets a some friction to work with.  I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a lighter oil ball that still has some backend on it, but for bowlers with slow speeds, you may want to consider the Jolt Pearl instead.

Thanks to Rob Herman at 10 in the Pit Pro Shop for layout it out and drilling it!

I'm a low rev low ball speed rookie player. I have thrown the Jolt quite a few times on dry to medium dry lanes. I have changed my throwing style to where I can put some hand in it and the Jolt reacts great with these conditions. It reacts where it needs to and hits the pins just right. I can miss my mark right or left and the ball will make up for my mistake. I still don't think that I will be able to use this ball in oil any heavier than medium though but i love it on the lighter oil patterns or when the oil has been bowled on for awhile.

This ball is drilled stacked leverage. I'm right handed throw about 18mph. I'm a Croker between cranker and stroker. This review is for medium oil house shot or league shot. Have purchased several storm balls before this one. I have a Shift(don't like) Have a Tropical Storm royal and lime like it as long as there is no carry down, but the Jolt is where its at especially for the price. Lay your hand down and play second arrow or cup your hand and play third or fourth arrow across lane doesn't matter for me can make this ball work anywhere. This ball reads mid lane and makes a hard strong move to the pocket on backend. Plows through carrydown just move right a board with same arrow as carrydown gets worse. This ball is a must have for anyone in my opinion. good for any experience level as well my girlfriend also has one just learning to throw a hook and shot 185 yesterday.

I bought this ball based on the shot review on Storm's website.  Take this review for what it's worth because I am a naughty bowler and use 2 fingers. However, I bowl often and have gone the 2 route after 3 fingers all but crippled my right hand, enough said.  This ball is drilled standard for large fingers and I use a golf glove with the ring and middle finger cut off if I find I need more revs.  With all that said, my shot is a pretty standard cranker shot and bowl in a house with medium to light oil.  After a few weeks of using this ball, my average is creeping up and in the last 2 weeks, without changing my game, I've bowled about a 190 average - up from about a 170.  I used a Scout before this ball and ended up finding it inconsitent when the oil would break down by game 3.  This ball seems to be the cure.  It's almost like the ball will stay straight in game 1 with a hard hit in the pocket, but by game three, it starts hooking earlier giving it less of a reaction in last 15 (which now has oil all over it) because of it's entry angle.  Throwing the same shot, the ball seems to make up the difference as the lane changes.
