Purchased the DOMINATION from Mike Miller of 10 Pins and More in Rio Rancho, NM. Ball Specs are as follows: 15lb. 3oz. 3.12 oz of TW before drilling and a 3.0" pin, ball is laid out with pin above the ring finger and the RAD 3.0" right of Thumb CL with a weight hole 6.0" from grip CL through the CG. Threw the ball on 38' of oil buffed to 45' with OB outside the 8 board. Current lane conditions were after several games were thrown with plastic so there was some carrydown. Compared this ball to my AGENT drilled pretty much indentically to this one. OOB the DOMINATION is about 3 boards stronger than the Agent, but really revs up in the midlane. The DOMINATION was evidently much more stronger in the midlane then the AGENT in which I thought had the most midlane of Storms current line-up (the DOUBLE AGENT is the exception).
Overall this ball revs up beautifully and carrys extremely well, but like all balls still leaves the dreaded 10 pin.

I believe STORM has yet another winner in the DOMINATION!

When you combine a RAD weight block with a Reactor Cover, the results are literally breathtaking. I drilled my Domination with a 4" x 4" layout and I can tell you this ball is unrivaled. NO BS!
We tested the Domination against a One, a Big One and an Action Max. The results were sick. The Domination cleared the front end better ( 3-1 crowned middle - HPL surface) picked up remarkably in the midlane and blew away all three balls with the backend motion.

This ball has the best of both worlds. The RAD weightblock with the Agent cover. UNREAL!

Storm balls have always had superior backend reaction but the Domination's midlane motion is going to
make this ball a huge winner. I am a believer. THANK YOU STORM!

This ball does clear the front great and makes a hard snap to the pocket at the end. Unlike anything I have seen since the Original Xcaliber.  Reacts like a high rg ball. The cover clears the front, the ball comea back from the 1-2 board at 40ft, standing 35 crossing 17-18.
Our conditions are 5 to 5, 40 ft, buff 20-40, 2nd shift, we have changed the shot and lowered the units in the middle to avoid too much carry down, so backends are pretty fresh.
I would say I have medium ball speed, 45 deg. tilt, and a med. rev rate.
Drilled a 2" pin under ring finger 5" from axis, kicked cg toward my axis at about 3" from axis, decent size weight hole.  Started with 3oz of top weight.
A+

Received ball through VIP program Ball is 14LBS, pin 2-2.5, top weight 2.20. Drill the ball with a 4 1/2 pin from pap and a 45 degree MB. MB is on my VAL and pin is below my ring finger. Drilled a 7/8 axis hole on my VAL 3 inches below my PAP. End side weight is 1/2 oz. Ball is awesome. Ball clears the heads very well and has tremendous backend. This is first Storm product I have thrown since the X-Factor Deuce and I am very impressed. I will be pushing this ball in my Pro Shop. 3 sets shot with ball (284/701; 710, 300/720) Feel free to ask any questions.

There are four guys in my area who drilled Storm's Domination. All of them are very happy with the motion of this ball. Storm is marketing it as their strongest skid/flip ball. It is very strong and the RAD weight block gives it a great read in the midlane. Then it goes balls out on the backend. It absolutely crushes on any condition with a build up in the middle of the lane with hook to the right. GREAT BALL!

OK here Is a short Review I will Update it after I get to throw It some more.

I finally got a chance to drill a few Dominations last week. So far, my opportunities to use them have been limited but i really like what i see so far. I drilled one 5x3 with the pin under the middle finger with a low hole. I hit that ball with a burgundy scotch brite pad with medium pressure in the track area. I drilled the other at 5x3 with the pin over the middle finger and an x-tra hole an inch passed my axis. I left that one box finish for now.

I bowled last weekend in Springfield, Mo on regional pattern #5 ( 44' - medium volume @ 45 mils ). The lane surface was fairly old anvilane, but well maintained. I used the pin under Domination quite a bit, especially during match play. This ball has very similar motion to the original Paradigm, but is a pinch longer and a decent amount more angular. So far in my current arsenal i have the Domination in between the Agent and the Thunderstruck Solid. I seem to match up better with the Reactor cover than the EOX cover, so this ball should see a lot of action for me. The cover ( like all the other ball with the Reactor cover ) is very tunable, which will make it a player for all styles.

Higher rev-rate players will love this ball because it will give you an assymetrical option to get in deeper and create more entry angle. Lower rev-rate players will be able to stay closer to the track and make more aggressive adjustments than maybe they are used to. So far this ball has been well received by the regional players that i've talked to, which can only translate into success for you

Recently, Storm has sent me the new Domination.  The ball I received had a 1 1/2" pin placement.  I drilled the ball with the pin just below the ring finger and the CG 1/4" to the right of my palm.  I am a right hander bowler.  The ball goes long and fnished strong at the back end with a little extra finish just before hitting the pocket.  The consequences is a explosion at the pocket.  This ball makes off hit single pin leaves a thing of the past.  The carry is fantastic!  I recently went from a 16lb ball to a 15lb ball and I was concerned about the carry because of the weight differential.  This ball has thrown away my fears!  Tell you readers if you want to dominate their opponents, rush out and buy Storms's new Domination.  They will not reqret it.

The Storm Domination is the most powerful bowling ball that I have ever thrown, it clears the front part of the lanes very cleanly, and also provides a very smooth read through the mids, with a very strong backend motion to the pocket!
I have been able to use it on numerous conditions, anything to heavy oil to dry patterns.
If you are looking for a very versitile bowling ball the Domination is the answer!

Starting specs:
3.0 Top
Pin 2.5
15#

This ball drilled very nicely, good smooth holes, and the core wrap drilled very much like the shell.

I am right handed, medium-high revs, medium-slow ball speed. I used a layout with pin 5 from PAP, Rad 3 from PAP, Pin buffer of 2 ½ inches.  I have used this layout on an Ace and Vertigo, and I liked the reaction.  I drilled the ring finger full depth (3 ¾ inches) so it would be “legal” without an extra hole.

I used the ball on a broken-down house pattern, and on a fresh house pattern.  The lane isn't wide enough if I use my normal release and ball speed, the back-end motion is extremely strong.  I cut back the revs a little, and the ball reacts very true, good midlane and still makes a strong move off the pattern.  The ball had a tendency to over-skid with box finish when I took some revs off, so I hand-scuffed with 1000 abralon.  I used the ball in league, playing more hook than I like at this house, but I still scored pretty well.  This ball definitely gets more length than the original Paradigm, and the Domination carries much better for me with my softer ball speed.

I also used the Domination at a PBA regional with the 38 foot, higher volume patten.  I was -40 after three games, switched to the Domination and I was 120 over for the next 4 games, including a 296 game.  This ball reacts very nicely even on lower volume patterns like the PBA and Sport patterns (compared to most house patterns I bowl on).

My Agent has stronger mid-lane reaction than the Domination, but the Agent also has quite a bit more surface, and the Agent is much smoother and earlier off the pattern.  The Domination is much more angular and continuous then the Agent, it never started to labor as the lane broke down like my (dull) Agent does as the track gets burned.   The two balls compliment each other very well, although I would probably still go with an Agent with surface on longer patterns, rather than trying to smooth out the reaction of a Domination.

Laid ball out with 3¾ pin to PAP 2" above midline, 5' RAD to PAP, 95 degrees. Pin Buffer was 2 & 3/8. This is the Strongest lateral movement of any ball I have ever thrown. Some of my friends were amazed at how deep I was able to get and the amount of recovery. I think this Reactor cover around this strong core really matches up amazingly. The ball skates through the heads and revs up in the mids and really covers alot of boards downlane. Favorite ball or "toy" right now for me by far. Keep in mind this was a very strong layout and it takes full advantage of what the ball can do. GO drill one up.

I just drilled a domination and only got to throw it for a few games this weekend. It hooked moore than I thought it would, but thats a good thing. I used a strong drill pattern and left the surface alone. It pushed easily through the front and made a strong continuous move toward the pocket on the backend that was very predictable. I think this ball is a great compliment to the spitfire.

I purchased the Storm Domination thru Storm on 10/5/2006. I had the ball drilled up on 10/20/2006. 15lb, 2" pin out. The pin located right next to my ring finger. Also had a balance hole put in, as well. For me, being a down & in player, it's a bit of an aggessive layout. After having the ball punched out, i bowled my 3 game league set & tossed games of 300-235-225, for a 761 set!! Hard to believe, but a 300 game with the new ball, right out of the box!! I did not alter the surface at all. This new Domination turns the corner a bit better than my Storm Paradigm, which i have had very good luck with, as well. The condition was a fresh house pattern (38"). I usually play up 10, but with this ball, i was 16, out to 5, pretty much the entire evening. On a scale of 1-10, i would rate this ball a 9. Excellent!!

The Info

i drilled my domination today then went out and tried it. i tried it on regular house shot but it seemed like there was a little more oil than usual but it could have been the carrydown from people bowling on it b4 with the plastic balls. i put the pin up above the my bridge because i wanted it to go long/clean through the heads and not have a violent reaction in the back end plus i dont carry as good when i get the hockey stick reaction. basically have my hand do everything cause i do have a lot of hand to begin with. the ball goes really long and has a nice smooth turn like i wanted but its still more than what i expected to happen.

The Line

i quickly found i had 2 lines to play with, one i would stand 3 left of center and throw at 13 to 10/9ish and it would hit awsome once it made the turn it kept goin (my favorite line). the other spot that i could play was 2 left of the second last dot through 15 out to 8. when the ball found some friction it made the turn sending sick messengers flying across the deck.

The Cons

1. it needs some friction to get goin so oily shots will be had with this ball
2. on my second line i left a lot of weak 10's but that was probably due to the carry down.
3. if i would tug it a little into the oil or get it out to far it would just skid. but when it hit some dry it would take off leaving a split. but again the shot was spotty so it was probably due to that.
4. i wish i had more graphite in my ball i like that color lol

all in all the ball is very nice, clean throught the heads and bang the pins are gone. if i were bowling in a league on this shot i probably would not have used this ball untill they broke down some (but not to much because it does need some oil or else it will take off). i would have used my agent or Thunderstruck solid first. but it will definately be the first ball out of my bag everytime.

I wanted to put my two cents in on the Domination.  I drilled mine 4X4 with the pin just right of my ring finger and an extra hole on my pal just above my pap.  This ball is everything you have heard and then some!  This ball allows me to play some left to right heavier patterns without having to add surface or squaring up to the mix.  You can play in the oil without needing the friction to get it to face the pocket and carry.  It keeps the pins low like the original Paradigm and seems to hit harder then anything I have.  This ball should play well for all bowlers regardless of speed and rpm's.

  STORM ON!

I drilled mine 4x4 using the strongest drilling on Storm's drilling chart. I was a little leery drilling it this way since I had become a down & in player, because that's what the house dictated. I noticed all the guy's with huge averages (I'm 207)were swinging the ball and decided to give that a try again. I was thrilled with the results. Only one ten pin in three league games. Eight in a row, right out of the box. Plenty of skid, and a strong move to the pocket. This ball gave me several X's all by itself. Had a big 600 despite several mistakes on my part, didn't adjust fast enough, but the ball was fine when I finally made the right moves in the third game. If I don't shoot an honor score in the next two weeks, it won't be the ball's fault. Like I said, only one ten pin in three league games, well worth the price. Drill One.

Just drilled my Domination, wow what a ball.  This is a must have in your arsenal.  Storm has done it again.  The Domination is so clean through the heads
with a excellent backend.  It's great on multiple conditions, right out of the box.  If you don't get one of these you've missed out on the game.

This is one strong hitting ball from Storm ,drilled this one 3 3/8 strong and with my tweener game this ball throws pins off the walls better than any ball out .Clean thur the heads with a nice rev in the midlane on a variety of lane patterns and stand back and watch the pins fly ,i have more messengers than any ball i have thrown over the years ,drilled this ball for a friend and with his coast to coast hook and he loved the hitting power on light hits were he has problems carrying and was a big plus for him ,all the players i have drill this one for loves it , if you want power and what all  players are looking for , this is a  great add on to the Paradigm line that just gets better , try this one out .

16# ball, pin right and slightly above ring finger, RAD marking right of thumb by an inch or so, small weight hole right of PAP.  Bowled on old HPL synthetic lanes that weren't oiled after three shifts with the last league made up of beginners.  Threw my regular stuff and it broke way too soon outside and if I moved inside around 3rd arrow it hit the carrydown after burning too much in the heads and came in dead.  With the Domination I toyed around and found I could actually go in to fifth arrow and score.  That is pretty remarkable for me.  Tried my XXX on that line and it just sailed.

Next threw on a freshly oiled lane with the league shot and the ball wouldn't wrinkle at fifth arrow, missed wide at fourth arrow, pinged inbetween fourth and third arrows but started to hit just outside third arrow.  My XXX and Impulse Zone would not play that line, they needed more dry sooner.  Shot about average with more strikes than normal and more designs than normal.

In actual 5 man team league play on fresh oil I had a huge strike ball the first game but it was negated with high pocket splits.  Second game the ball didn't carry quite as well and by the last frame of the second game it was missing the pocket!  This ball absolutely hates carrydown.  Moved in and threw out farther to catch dry boards and the ball hooked way too soon.  Played in more and it didn't hook soon enough.  Classic over/under.  Now that I know this, I can play around with lines and speeds or maybe just put this ball away after two games.

Overall, I see a ball very similar to my XXX only a lot stronger at the break.

This is without a doubt the most incredible ball I have ever thrown. It is versatile enough to play on dryer league shots yet strong enough to rock the pins from an oily pattern with the best back end movement I have ever used. Terrific job Storm.

Updated review:

Had a chance to use this ball some more (original surface) and found out it responds very well to speed adjustments.  I had written earlier about the ball overreacting to the carrydown but with a little less speed and loft it will still get into a great roll after several league games have changed the oil distribution.  I just had to quit overthrowing it like I was used to doing with my duller surfaced older equipment.  It hits better than any ball I've had lately, leaving very few corner pins even on some questionable hits.  Just a really good match for a nice easy shot allowing you to make full use of the house wall.  Tried it on a PBA pattern also and it still had a big pocket, carrying corner pins consistantly as often as I could get the ball to the pocket.(What a novel concept - throw a bad shot and get punished for it!)  I am going to enjoy bowling with this ball!

This ball is one of the sickest hooking balls out right now. i have my pin to the right and above fingers with cg kicked out and RAD on the right side of my thumb. I am right handed. This layout is for inside lines and this ball gets through the heads awesome and makes a left turn. if ur a cranker get one this ball is awesome.

I have thrown my domination for a few weeks now, and this ball is really strong. It is 5 boards stronger than my frankie may. It is clean in the front and picks up nicely in the backend. The ball is definatly not speed sensative either, you can speed up and I havn seen mine skate yet. It is drilled pin above fingers 4 inches from pap and the rad is swung 2 inches right of my thumb and there is a 1 inch weight hole on my val that took out all the posative side weight. IMO alot better ball then the original paradigm.

Got a 15 pound 21/2 in pin.  Drilled it up 4x4.  Agressive drilling on a skid/flip ball, yet surprisingly controllable on the fresh house pattern. Have to lay off it a little in the early going or the 9 pins will creap up and if the lanes are dry, it won't perform but then you should be using this ball anyway.

I really can't describe the drilling sorry, but I can give you a bit of info...
16#
2-3'' Pin
Semi Agressive-pin out...CG kicked out

This ball has a interesting taste to it...For me the ball really doesn't fit to my style, as I hoped it would.  It does roll out well and does hit nice, but for me to be good with it...I have to be perfect...And that doesn't always happen.  For those of you reading this, I would suggest it only for medium-heavy oil with no carry down.  Anything off and this ball doesn't really fit.  I would not really recommend this ball...

Ball reacts just the way storm describes it. Ball glides through the heads then takes a hard turn left. Like my special agent, the balls hitting power and carry are exceptional. Carrydown hasn't been a problem with this ball either. 10/10 for the domination.

I have been slacking on this review.

3.5" pin
15#
left it OOB finish
17.7 mph
350-380 revs

I have two of these balls one i drilled 5x3 with a 3" pin buffer. The other one is drilled 4x4 with a 2" pin buffer. The first one is strong enough on a THS the layout gets the ball through the heads and the mids very easy saving up allot of energy for the back-end. The ball seems to widen the pocket by 2-4 boards. The 4x4 drilling seemed to hook up a little sooner but still had plenty of energy for the back end. If your looking for a strong layout for Nationals this is it. I love both of my Domination's they are the best bowling balls i have ever owned. Great job STORM.

Left handed stroker with medium revs and medium ball speed.

I am pretty dissapointed with this ball.  I have seen many people throw this and it's a HOG, but for me, it is a dud.  However, it was one of the pro cg balls, so hopefully that was the problem.

It is drilled basically with a standard label leverage, not much else to do with it because how the pin, cg , mb are lined up, but the ball has a the MB in a strong position.

In the OOB surface, the ball reved up like crazy, but didn't make much of a move.  The move it did make was pretty weak and it's hit was even weaker.

I did get a better look with the OOB surface on a condition with more head oil, and clean back ends, but even then it wasn't doing too much.

I then took the ball down to 2000 abralon, and it does do a little more, but still not much.

I am dissapointed with this ball to say the least.  However, I do feel that it could hold a spot for tournament conditions that I run into.  With the 2000 Abralon finish, it grabs a little sooner, which allows it to be a little stronger, but still smooth.

I have yet to see a condition I could use this ball on full time, but will hold onto it for tournament purposes.

My suggestion...don't EVER buy a Pro CG ball EVER!

personal info in pro.
drilled up a 14 lb 4 oz Domination the other day. OOB finish
5 x 3 w/ a 3 inch pin buffer.
Definently one of the more angular balls I have thrown in recent days.
Tried it out an a typical 10:1 ratio on a 37 ft top hat.
Initial Impression - ball likes to skate right through the heads, pushes through the midlane and then revs up really strong on the back.
This is my first 14 pound ball in a while, just dropped weight due to wrist injury, and I would have to honestly say that my carry has been better.

Definently a winner if you are looking for something to open up the lane and a medium / medium-heavy shot.

I purchased this ball back last fall, and I got a chance to practice with it in two different houses. My Domination was drilled 6" X 4" (pin to PAP X RAD to PAP) placing the pin above the middle finger and the RAD very strong. I also had an X-hole drilled on the midline 5" from grip center.

My thanks go to Mike Corum of Empire Pro Shop at Southwyck Lanes in Toledo, Ohio. He drilled me a true, long-lasting winner of a ball!

I was looking for versatility, combining a strong dynamic ball with a weak pin drilling. Well, the Storm Paradigm Domination fit the bill! On the house shot, I could play inside and bump the crown, or I could swing it out to the channel and watch it come back strong. The drilling gave me flare control, allowing a clean run through the heads with a strong move in the back.

The Domination has also been a great performer during the PBA Experience. I can use this ball on the Viper, Chameleon, and Scorpion patterns. Of the three, it did the best on the Scorpion...

I was able to shoot my twelfth career 300 game back in November. It was, however, my first with an asymmetrical ball; my first with a 6" pin drilling!

For me, it is a significant breakthrough with mass bias equipment. This ball is truly a Paradigm!

Storm Paradigm Domination

Pin to CG Distance 2.5-3"
Topweight - around 3 oz.

Layout 5x3 - Pin above ring finger and RAD in B position.

Reaction - Clean thru front, late midlane read and hard arc/ angular backend reaction.

Comments:

It took a while to figure this ball out, but it was definitely worth it when I did.  Even with this tame drilling, this ball has more backend reaction than any ball I've ever thrown provided it gets to the breakpoint with burning up too much energy.  I found that on the fresh league shot, this ball is a monster on the down and in line around the 8-10 board.  This usually works for the first game.  As the lanes break down instead of overhooking, this ball starts to roll out and quit, leaving alot of flat tens.  This started happening sooner once I broke the coverstock in a little bit.  The good thing about this ball with this drill is that it's very resonsive to hand position changes.  I move in a put a little more tilt on the ball, it stores energy and turns the corner hard enough to start kicking the corner pins out again.  It's pretty versatile and I can use it on pretty much all conditions but the extremes.  This ball also doesn't like carrydown very much.

In summary, this ball can be played down and in as long as there's enough oil to get it to a reasonable breakpoint.  When the heads start to break down, it's time to change hand positions, move left and "send it and bend it".  This ball is at it's best when the lanes start to dry out and you can open up the lane a little bit.  I liked this ball much better than the original Paradigm because of it's angularity and versatility.

I love this ball!!!

I've been bowling for almost 2 years and the Domination so far is the best ball in my arsenal. My average has gone up to a 211. I've bowled in 2 PBA Regionals. The second one that I bowled,I used the Domination and averaged 215 over 13 games. I've shot a 299 with this ball and my high series of a 757. Not bad for a 2 year bowler. Awesome ball. Smashes pocket and great carry. Specially those nice trip 4 pins.

Drilled: 4 1/2" from PAP
         MB at 55 degrees w/ a 2 1/2" pin buffer

Thumb under drilling 2-3 in pin.  Used the original paradigm, and liked it, but was too heavy.  Moved to a Domination when I couldn't find a lighter Paradigm.  The Domination is a very good ball.  It picks up a lot of revs and speed in the dry and smacks the pins. I start with less reactive balls and as carrydown goes up, I switch to this ball.  I feel very comfortable throwing it out 40 wide that it will come back hard.  Ball speed about 14.

Fantastic ball. This is the strongest ball on the backend that I have ever thrown. The reactor coverstock and Rad+ core match up perfectly. Can be used on med-heavy oil conditions when alot of recovery on the backends in needed. I would highly recommend this ball to anyone looking for a ball to push through the lane and save all energy for the backend.
