Prepare to dominate the lanes with the Storm Road Warrior, a breakthrough in Storm’s acclaimed Road series. Featuring the all-new R2S DEEP Pearl coverstock, the Road Warrior offers exceptional control on dry lanes while retaining energy for an explosive finish. Building on the trusted performance of its predecessor, The Road, this ball delivers enhanced length and sharper entry angles, ensuring every shot makes an impact. Engineered for versatility, the Road Warrior incorporates advanced A.I. Core technology, merging tradition with innovation for outstanding performance on varying conditions. Its medium-high RG and differential allows for an ideal flare potential, creating a controlled yet dynamic motion downlane. The A.I. Core’s “Amplified Inertia” ensures smooth, predictable transitions, offering bowlers reliable performance across different lane conditions. The R2S DEEP Pearl coverstock, a refined version of Storm’s renowned R2S formula, navigates the front part of the lane effortlessly, storing energy for an aggressive sweep through the pocket. The Power Edge Polish enhances surface texture, generating length on both medium and lighter oil conditions, making it a versatile powerhouse. Review

The Road Warrior is the newest addition to the legendary Road Series. For me the Road Warrior is very similar to the Iconic Hyroad Pearl. The R2S Pearl Coverstock that has the new power edge finish with the Inverted FE2 Core Powered by A.I. allows me to play straighter on the fresh and move deep inside on the burn. I tested this ball on a 43 feet typical house pattern. As mid to low rev player l was able to stand right of center on the fresh and as far left as 32 board on the burn without losing any carrying power.  This ball will be in my bag for league and tournaments.  Order one from your local pro shop today! My ball review videos are posted on YouTube channel Stanley Waite.

The latest addition to the Road family is the Storm Road Warrior. The new Storm Road Warrior features the R2S Deep cover stock wrapped in AI technology. Like The Road this quickly becoming my benchmark pearl. Using the layout of 45x4.5x30 gives me the control I need once the lanes transition and I need a longer ball in my hand. Pick one up today at your local Storm VIP pro shop today.

The Road Warrior features the inverted FE2 core but with A.I. core technology with R2S Deep as its cover stock. With higher rg I drilled this ball 4x40 to make sure this ball flared enough to get it into motion. This ball is extremely clean through the front part of the lane with a lot of recovery down lane. Now that the hy-road pearl is discontinued this ball should be the replacement ball. This ball should pair up nicely with the Phaze A.I. when the A.I. is to much I should be able to ball down to the Road Warrior. Players looking for a ball that will handle a lot of friction or if you’re just looking for a Hy-Road Pearl replacement this is the ball.

Ball Reviews:
Physix Blackout:
The Physix Blackout has become one of my favorite balls. It is usable on a variety of conditions and has become the first out the bag on THS in different centers which play entirely different which shows some of the versatility of this ball. The pearl cover with the 2000 finish allows the ball to be clean through the front of the lane yet smooth off the breakpoint and allows plenty of continuation down lane when it is needed most. I have been able to play with my angles closed and opened as well as get a little deeper into game 2 than other asym options that would typically burn up by this point. This ball, also, was good on sport. Bowling on 45' where my angle was closed towards the pocket this ball provided plenty of motion through the pins given the longer distance and higher volume of what I was bowling on. This ball is a must have for the competitive bowler and is another great rendition in the Physix line.
Attention Star S2:
The hybrid version of the Attention line is out with a much more controllable smooth motion compared to its predecessor the Attention Star. The S2 is great for those medium to heavier oil conditions when control is needed. I found this very usable on sport conditions when my angles needed to be closed and I wanted to keep everything in front of me and control to the pocket. This ball is slower responding than the original which allows you to use this on the fresh. When the lanes begin to hook up front and a cleaner reaction is needed you can piggy back onto to the original to continue to allow your ball to angle down lane without sacrificing energy and hitting power at the pins.
Road Warrior:
A new iteration the the popular Road line is back with the Road Warrior. This version is a pearl with the R2S deep cover. It is much slower than the original HyRoad pearl, which makes it more controllable. When you need a cleaner reaction than the stronger asym or symmetrical's the Road Warrior will be a good option to go to.
Origin:
New core, new cover and tons of power. The Origin is great for those medium to heavier oil conditions. At first, I found the ball a little too clean so I adjusted the surface to 2000 to get it to pick up sooner. The surface adjustment made all the difference in seeing the ball motion I was looking for. I found success on THS when the lanes play tight and I want to play more up the track area. Origin reserved tons of energy as it exited the pattern and continued well through the pins. Also, saw success on sport when my angles needed to slowly open up this ball was strong enough to dig into the deeper part of the lane where oil was still present yet provided strong continuation down lane that didn't sacrifice carry. The Origin will be a good option on on fresh or transition.

COMMENTS

As anyone who has read my reviews or watched my videos for a while, I’m an absolute push-over for anything in the Road line.  It took me a long time to drill up my first Hy-Road, but it was one of the first balls I ordered when I moved from 15 to 14 pounds.  The Road has been in my bag every week since it was released in the middle of 2024 and the Road Warrior looks to be a great complement.  While it’s way too early to call it a replacement for the legendary Hy-Road Pearl, it definitely is a strong contender.

The Road Warrior has the R2S Deep Pearl coverstock, which is a much weaker cover than the REX Hybrid coverstock that’s on the Road.   That means the Road Warrior is going to go longer and have a sharper reaction when it sees friction at the back of the lane.  It’s a great choice when you need to move inside and still get enough back end to carry the corner pins.

Layout: 5 x 4 x 2

The new Road Warrior features the Inverted FE2 A.I. core and is wrapped in the all new R2S Deep Pearl coverstock.  At 15 pounds the RG is 2.55 with a differential of .045.  I drilled mine with the pin above the middle finger (4x4x2).  The new Road Warrior is a cleaner and more angular version of The Road.  For me, the Road Warrior is about 3-4 feet later than The Road, and about 2-3 boards right with my feet.  The Road provides a more continuous motion front to back, while the new Road Warrior brings back the more traditional HyRoad backend reaction.  The Road Warrior is good on medium lane conditions and broken-down patterns.  When my angles need to be steeper through the front, I know I can throw the Warrior and be confident that it will make it back to the pocket.  The A.I. core continues to provide superior pin action, especially on the off hits.  This is not the first ball out of my bag to start a block, but it has definitely earned a spot in my bag for the later games in a league night or tournament block.
