PCP #1 had the pin out about 1 1/2 from the cg, with 3.02 top weight. I drilled the ball with the pin to the right of my ring finger, with the cg out, using a high hole. The pin is about 3 1/2 inches from my PAP with the mass bias in about a 65 degree angle. I used about a 7/8 inch bit for the extra hole, with it being 2 1/2" deep. The hole is located approx 4 over and 2 1/2 up from the center of my span. This brought the ball back to legal with side weight and finger weight.
This is a control type drilling for me that I like to use with pin in balls. I have had success with this layout in the past with a Black Thunder Storm, Super Power, and a Tour Power. Even though the pin is close to the leverage 3 3/8 from my axis position, I still get pretty good length. The high hole drives the side weight down, finger weight down, differential down a little, and for me this hole is fairly close to my axis point, all giving me a smooth break point, almost weak.
Spot on for this ball too. This layout works well for me playing almost any part of the lane, although the closer to the gutter better. Works well on a wet/dry lane condition and/or when the back ends are scorching. Very controlled break point. This particular ball is almost too weak to use in league conditions, but in regionals, this ball could be the ticket. More length than the Tour Power, about 10 boards straighter than my Super Power drilled the same way.
Hence PCP #2. Pin out about 4 inches from the cg, with 2.82 top weight. Pin high over my fingers, cg on the center of my span. This pin is about 5 inches from my PAP with the cg 4 7/8 away, the mass bias is about 90 degrees, or in/under my thumb hole.
I like this layout when I want a ball that really stores energy and creates a booming back end. Have used this layout with success with many different balls including Trauma, Trauma ER, Too Hot, Tour Power, and Eraser among others. This used to be my default layout when I didn't know what I wanted to do with a new/test ball.
Once again, very nice. This ball is just as clean through the front as #1, maybe even a couple feet longer, but then watch out. About 8 boards with my feet and 2-4 boards with my target left of where I was with #1. Much better hitting power, carry percent very good. To me this ball reacts like a very strong Too Hot. Same kind of loping motion through the front part of the lane. Almost looks like it is floating. (until it hits a rock or something!!)
For me the Power Charge is what the Hot Rod should have been. Very long, with versatility in drilling. Different looks with different layouts. I think you would have a hard time getting these different looks with a Hot Rod, because it tends to roll up too early. #2 out hooked my Hot Rod by about 2-3 total boards, but on the lane it was all on the back end. The Hot Rod read the dry much quicker, but didn't always finish through the pins, burned up a little too much. Seemed #2 would just keep coming, as long as I got the ball to the dry at the right time, I could hit the pocket from a number of different angles.
The Power Charge will be a dry lane ball for the high speed guys, but a good all around ball for the slow speed players. Tweeners will like it on spotty heads, and medium to some drier lane conditions. The really straight players will use this ball as an arsenal ball, they may only pull it out when the lanes are hooking, but will work better here than the Hot Rod. Don't really think this will be a great fresh oil ball, unless the pattern is pretty short, say under 35 feet. There are probably better choices on longer patterns due to the Power Charge's great energy storage and length. Probably not the best wet/dry ball, unless you are like me and can afford to add an arsenal ball. Price is nice, in the mid range to lower mid, and smell is great!!! Strong Cherry smell!!!!

This ball hits extremely hard. It has a very distinctive sound when it hits, and doesn't leave a lot of back row nonsense.

I was surprised that this ball is true to what is says. I tested it on a synthetic lane that was already been used for 6 games and my Xfactor Deuce was already hitting high. The Charge went long then turns massively to the pocket. It has good carry. I love it! This could be my savior in 12 game tournaments.
I'm now a storm fan. They really do make great balls

Oh, and that cherry smell....my God...my ball has to be the smelliest of them all, my locker smells like cherry, the car smells like cherry as well!!!
Ive always had a thing for Storm products and I will continue to purchase their goods for a long time to come.

Ball does what it says it will do. Excellent compliment to my LRG (same core)
Ball goes alot longer than my lrg and x-factor and makes a smooth medium break to the pocket. the carry is as good as any other storm product ive thrown. only knock is the ball tend to slide past break point if theres alot of carry down. got about 60 games on it now and it reacts same as day i got it. no cracks in it either thank god.
the ball is nothing flashy, its not a hook monster, but on the dryer shots this ball is a savior.

I drilled this ball after using Chris Johnson's, leading ROY on tour. It impressed me with its ease thru the fronts and its hard revving down the lane. When the fronts break down and I have to wheel, this ball is greatness. Its breakpoint is almost a hook/set or hockey stick reaction, which is good on a difficult pattern. The carry is incredible. I used it in a tournament in Tulsa and shot my highest set on a fairly low scoring pattern; 279-269-299/847.
If you bowl in a place where the fronts are worn or on a drier sport pattern, it just doesnt get any better than this ball. Its a step above others on medium/dry conditions.

I started bowling about 2.5 years ago and the Power Charge is my 4rth bowling ball. I cant lift heavy stuff that well and I have a nagging shoulder injury so my Power Charge is only 11 lbs with simple convetional finger holes. I release with a little turn on the wrist- slow- medium speed. This ball has a really smooth carry down and I noticed that it is very good with lanes that getting weird. This ball can really hit hard even with slow speed.My highest score with this ball was 203. Now I need is another ball that does well on freshly oiled lanes to replace my Erase it and that would be the Super Charge.

Excellent dry lanes ball or short oil ball. On a dry travel league condition this ball had no problem clearing the heads with a nice roll, not a skid-snap reaction for me. Great carry, and hard hitting power. I found the best time to throw this ball was when a deep inside shot was needed or the heads were completely toasted...plus it has a nice cherry smell..

No matter how far I have ever had to get inside due to the lanes burning up I have no problem with this ball hitting. This is my go to ball when I need to play left of 4th arrow.
Again a great ball to have in ones arsenal. Every tourney bowler should have one.

This ball doesn't even come close to reading the midlane or hooking up early. Love the backend roll, which actually isn't a roll but more of a right turn. Hits like a tank on house short to medium length patterns, but it hates long oil patterns. You can throw it on sport (2 or 3 to 1) but usually not on fresh unless you can bump down your speed and let it read up a bit earlier. Great ball for the price, can be versatile if you screw around with the cover. If you're looking for a ball that will conserve some energy down the lane, pick one of these up.

This is by far my favorite ball i've ever had. I got it drilled for high flair cause when i first started out like 5 years ago, i didn't put a lot of revs on the ball. back then it was an okay ball, until i learned to keep my hand behind the ball and put some finger in it. then it came alive like i couldn't believe. I must of shot 10-12 279 or above games with it.
It slides though the heads and when it hits the back end, it comes in charging. It revs up real nice down about midway down the lanes and comes off my hand like silk. All around i have ZERO complaints about this ball. It my ol' reliable that i can go to on any condition.
