wow i got this ball last night tryed it out and what a backend. my first shot with this ball i messed up and it went out to the 4 th board, it didnt look like this ball was going to hook, then all of a sudden the last 10-15 feet the ball just snaped and flush into the pocket it went. i have never used a ball with that much backend before but i got to say i think i well be using this one all the time.

I have this ball drill to the max hook and it turns out to be the best ever, BUT there is somethings we may have miss is the lane conditions and also the differences between wooden lanes and synethics lanes. It only works well with the wooden lanes! Do note unless it is well strip or this ball won't work that well after all on synethic lanes!

This is my 2nd review on this ball...first on 9/5/01.  The drilling: pin below ring finger w/ mass bias in track area...about an inch and a half left of the thumb. My speed is most comfortable around 16-16.5...with about a dozen revs on the ball....mostly because I have a tendancy to loft the ball quite a bit.

I'll say right away after using it now for 6 months, that it's the best ball I've ever thrown.  The power this ball has when it hits the pins is easily why my average is 10 pins higher since using it.  I typically don't have a lot of problems with corner pins with this ball...if I'm generally around the pocket good things happen.

Overall, I'd give this ball a 9.8 out of 10 rating.  If you bowl on oil, this is the ball for you.

I ordered this ball from my local pro shop about a month ago, and just recieved it about 2 weeks ago.  This ball was definetly worth the wait.  This is ball best ball I have and and that I have ever thrown.  I have the pin below my ring finger with the mass bias to the right of my thumb.  This ball screams to the pocket, and keeps goin through the pins.  The ER redefines 10-pin carry!  I can play so many different lines with this ball because it is so versitile.  My average has gone up 2 pins in the 2 weeks I have had the ball, and it will continue to go up.  I definetly recommend this ball if you need something that hooks.  

Great Ball Storm, keep bangin em out!!!!

I have had my ER now for almost a year and I have thrown it on several different conditions.  I bought my ER after having good success with the pearl Trauma.  I was looking for something stronger and earlier than my pearl Trauma, but with the angular Trauma backend.  The ER fit my need quite nicely.

To compliment my pearl Trauma with a 5-inch pin to PAP, we decided to go with a 4-inch pin to PAP placement with the pin just above my ring finger.  The mass bias was placed in the strong position.   This drilling gave me good length with a strong angular move at the break point (on a standard house shot).  This ball hits extremely hard and has excellent carry.

I have also used this ball on a sport pattern with decent success.  While the ER is the first ball out of my bag on a house shot, it is not my first choice on the sport shot.  On the sport shot I normally do not use the ER until the second or third game (after the lanes have transitioned a little).  Those of you with more hand may find the ER an excellent choice for the sport shot.

Overall this is my favorite ball and I would not hesitate to recommend it for a wide variety of medium oil conditions.  I like this ball so much that I am considering getting another with a little different drill pattern.  

Storm has another winner on their hands with the ER.

the er matches the surface at nationals to a tee. try one, you won't be disappointed. when transition hits go to a regular trauma for consistent results. Storm makes the best tournament equipment in the bowling industry !!!!

I have this ball drilled for maximum hook on heavy oil conditions.  I bowl with VTech and we practice on synthetic lanes and heavy oil.  I first used this ball from the box and it went slightly long.  So I sanded it to around 600 grit.  This ball hooks amazing with great carry.  I have been averaging around 210 with it.  It carries so much that I was able to hit the 6 pin one time and still got a strike!  As for drier conditions, leave this one in the box as you will be concentrating on keeping the ball right of the head pin more, than actually bowling.  Overall this ball is slightly better than El-Nino XiT as far as hooking power and smell.  10 out of 10!

Alright back to Storm.  After writing about the monster I needed to get back to the company that is setting the standard in bowling equipment with overall performance, versatility, and style.  Not to mention overall price.
I got this itch a almost a year ago to purchase my first storm ball with the eraser, then it got to the trauma's then it went to the recovery, well folks know its the ER.
I wrote a reveiw for the response not to long ago and love that ball.  Well if we want to talk about the best reactive ball on the market right now that hooks and does it the same every time. No over/under or even flipping out when you get to deep.  This is the ball that for some reason kicks anyones butt when it comes to overall power and grace.  
Its great for those tube shot conditions you find in your local bowling center and it even better when you get on those tournament conditions where the shot is almost like motor oil on the lane. This ball cuts through all of it and still gets to the pocket.
Okay so I am left handed and my friend told me they can see two things from space now the great wall of china and the wall I have on the left side. But you know the truth of the matter is that I have seen both left handed and right handed bowlers score a bunch with this ball.  I am not just meaning that it will work occasionaly but I mean this ball is a powerhouse and then some.  Scratch that last statement its a powerhouse that has about sixty Mr. Atlas's in it.  
IF your really wanting a great ball this is the ball for you.  Price wise its really inexpensive,  A GREAT OVERALL BALL EITHER SANDED OR POLISHED.  THOUGH I LIKED THE FACTORY FINISH BETTER THEN MY OWN.  AND I LIKED THE WAY THE BALL FINISHED WHEN IT GOT TO THE ONE-TWO.  NOTHING WAS LEFT STANDING.

STORM I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU.  THIS IS A SUPERIOUR BALL AND AN EXCELLENT STANDARD FOR ANY COMPETITIVE BOWLER

Another damage special at the old work.  The machine took a nice gouge out of the ball that was not in the track.  The guy said the ball reaction was horrible and couldnt get the ball to do anything, he wanted me to dull the surface for him to get more hook.  He averages around 170.

The ball has a 3" pin, pin location is just to the right of the ring finger, cg is located in the center of the grip, and the mass bias is just to the right of the thumb.  

In my hands i got a completely different story.  I took the ball onto the same shot he was throwing on.  This ball should not be legal because it is absolutely lethal and i felt like i was cheating everytime i threw it.  All i had to do was stand right in the middle of the lane, swing it out between the second and third arrow, let it go to 45 then crush, lights out.  I started out by getting hung up in the ball and pulling it for an explosive brooklyn strike.  I got a feel for the ball then ripped the next nine.  I hit the pocket so hard on the 11th that i left a stone 9 which the messenger just missed.  I followed that up with another deck clearer.  I had similar results the next game, around a 256.

Needless to say, i gave him the ball back in the same condition and said, "it isnt the ball," and walked away.

Alright folks back by popular demand,
  I went out and purchased a ER a few days ago.  More like last night and used it for about sixteen games.  I mean were I come from a Thurs night is when many people have the worst time trying to get a ball to move down the lane.  Well Lets just say this ball is the juggernaut of all bowling balls.  Just like its counterparts in the trauma sieres this ball has a huge back end and when it gets to the pocket your eiher going to knock ten pins down or there is just no excuse for you to have the ball.  This ball will kick anything on the markets butt and still make you feel good about the price.  This ball is not overally priced nor is it going to be used on a one night condition.  I used this ball on three diffrent oil patterns.  ONE (FORTY-FORTY HEAVY OIL),TWO(TEN-TEN XMAS TREE SHOT), and finally a broke down pattern.  Of those I shot roughly and average of 240 each game.  Okay maybe I had a bit of luck on my side using this ball that night.  Did the same thing today same condition and all still averaged around 240.  So if you want a ball if some bite to it and leaving your competition scratching their heads about how to beat you.  Dont wait just try this ball you'll see what I mean.

Another great ball from Storm.  I could do without the Grape scent but the performance of the ball greatly outways the cosmetic issues.  Drilled 3 3/8 X 5 with the pin shifted below and an 1 inch right of the ring finger.  The ball rolls immediately but really stores energy and hits a ton.  The only weakness is dry heads since it gets started so early.  Works well on wet/dry and track shots.  I would recommend this ball even with the heavy price tag.

I have a Trauma ER and it works great for me.  About a week after I bought it, I shot a 245 twice.  This is the ball that inspired me to get only Storm equipment from now on.  A great heavy oil ball.

For Starters I would best describe myself as a power stroker med revs and high ball speed about 16 MPH.. I aquired this ball due to the fact everone that had the ball raved about it...I threw one of my pals balls and i knew i had to have this ball.. I drilled it by putting the mass bias on my thumb hole, cg at almost mid gip and pin (3inches) over my fingers at the 11 o' clock position..and lightly polished the ball...It gave an excellent mid lane read and a hard arc backend.. It is the best ball i have bought in over 3 years, very predictable and hits like a truck on steroids... I shot 2 of my 3 300's this year with it..EXCELLENT BALL!

OK.....I posted a review about the ERASE-IT on here already. Well I bought a TRAUMA ER to go over top of th Erase-IT. BOY does these two balls compliment each other. Got this ball drilled stack leverage with the box surface. The ball did not leave one 7-pin....THIS BALL IS AN ANIMAL. I would advise if you do not have a ton of head oil and slow to no backends do not use this ball. My average speed is around 17mph and I have been known to really turn a ball so take all this into consideration when reading this review.

Got this ball used but it looked brand new. Was looking for a ball to handle the oil and complement my Eraser. The ER is a powerful ball to say the least when talking about hit. Excellent carry and thunderous hit. I found for me that it was not that great in oil, and had the coverstock taken down to 400 grit. This gave it more of the move I needed to find the pocket but it seemed to not last to long. Ball seemed like it needed a high quality bowler then a newbie like me. Since then I sold it, but would love to try a NIB one once my game improves......Oh, loved that black cherry smell too!
