I have always had success with Storm's mid price equipment and after reading about the the new Tropical Heat, I thought what better way to see how this compares to the Furious and Fast, but to drill a Heat as I had done previously with the Fast and Furious.

Surprise.

Using a simple drilling with the pin at about 1 o'clock on a 15.3 lb Tropical Heat with a 2 to 2 1/2 pin and 2.08 Top weight.

THis ball was great. Easy through the heads and a great arcing reaction to the pocket. Another solid addition into the Storm family.

Have used it on a blended 41' house pattern, a blended 38' pattern on synthetic and on a 44' pattern with guardian heads.

Thanks again Storm!!!

I have used this ball a few times now on PBAx patterns & surprised by the balls motion. This ball clears the heads and makes a nice move on the back. The ball has worked best for me on the Cheetah so far. It is nice to have a ball to go that has some pop down the lane to help open up the angle.

If you are looking for an inexpensive ball, this ball gives you a lot of bang for your buck. The Reactor cover at one time was a premium level cover and the Turbine core has proven itself in the Street Rods, Fast, Furious & Natural.

The first time I threw this ball the lanes were a little bit dryer, I expected the ball to move but I did not expect to get the reaction that I got from it. I was thinking it would hit the pins soft, but it really hit pretty hard for the type of ball it is. It is going to be a great ball for when the lanes dry up and when I am on dryer/shorter lane conditions.

To my knowledge this ball was supposed to be for dryer lane conditions, after the pattern had burnt up. When i threw this ball it flew off my hand. I ended up using it on the Scorpion pattern.

I was told that this ball was not supposed to have much reaction but for me it snaps hard on the back end.  I am very comfortable throwing this ball however. I can control it very well.

So I had this ball drilled up and used it tonight.  I did a simple 5x4 pin up drilling to give me lenth and "some" pop on the backend...

Well the ball really gets down the lane very nicely, but WTF!!!!  this ball makes a hard left turn when it hits anything dry.....   I have a pin down barbedwire with a similar drilling and it doesnt have nearly the backend pop, that this ball does....

I finally was able to keep the ball on the right side, by playing 5th arrow and swinging out to 10... but still!!!  missing left or right by a bit ment going thru the nose...

The Storm Tropical Heat is the most versatile bowling ball I have ever used. My orange and purple Tropical Heat has a 4 inch pin drilled pin up but very neutral. I intended to use the ball for games late in the day when lanes had gone through breakdown. The ball provides not only a great reaction late in the block, but can be used on almost any condition with success.

I have used the Tropical Heat on a variety of different conditions from 35 to 44 feet and found great, consistent ball reactions. I am very impressed with how cleanly the ball gets through the first 15 feet of the lane no matter the condition or breakdown level. All of the energy of the ball is propelled through the pins and the carry percentage is often high. I would recommend the Tropical Heat to anyone who desires a predictable, simple ball reaction on a variety of shots. The ball is great for tough lane transitions and will give you the hitting power you need to shoot big scores. Thank you STORM for a great and affordable product!

The Tropical Heat is a very versatile ball. I consider it my benchmark ball. It has a predictable and strong reaction downlane and is my go to starting ball for patterns shorter than 41 feet. It is usually the second ball out of my bag when longer and heavier patterns break down. I would recommend this ball to players of all skill levels because it is so easy to read and hits very hard.

This ball has a strong back-end and goes very long. At first I didn’t really like this ball but once I figured out where to play it gave me a lot of much needed room and allowed me to get past a lot of the friction in the front part of the lane. Definitely a go to ball in my arsenal.

When I ordered this ball I was looking for a ball that I could use for drier lane conditions, but I still wanted a ball that had a great smooth role but a snappy back-end. The energy this ball stores is great and carries through the pins very well. This ball is my go to ball when I play on dry lane conditions or very short oil patterns like the Cheetah.
