If you're looking for something to be strong in the mid-lane and very continuous from the break point, this is definitely the way to go! I have used this ball on a 40' house pattern, the 44' Shark pattern, and even the 38' Viper pattern. On the house pattern I was able to play multiple angles, from playing straight up 5 all the way in to about 20, and no matter where I moved the 2Furious gave me the same predictable mid-lane read and never tried to roll out too much when it made it's move. On the 44' Shark pattern, the 2Furious went longer and really saved most of it's energy for the backend, and then when it finally made it's move it was explosive and really drove hard through the pins. On the 38' Viper pattern, it allowed me to send the ball out towards the gutter more but read the lane early enough and still saved enough energy to recover and give me the ultimate entry angle to carry best.

This ball is extremely tough to beat at a lower price point and a great ball to have for any bowler!

Drilled the 2 furious just like my 1st 2fast this ball is great when my 2fast starts to lope on carry down, the leauges i bowl have lots of play before we bowl and wen carry down hits it is the best thing for it and the ball stores lots of energy into the pins and keep the pins low and have lots of carry!

I drilled my 2Furious with pin over ring, cg on grip line (5x5.5) on a 3-3.5 pin out ball. This layout gives me a good feel for any new core, because it allows me to drill without altering the shape of the core much at all. I took the surface to more of a true 2000 abralon, by hitting it with 1000 x 4 sides, and 2000 x 4 sides, using high speed of a two speed spinner. My Furious with the same layout and true 4000 abralon finish, will be the comparison piece.
I have used the 2Furious on a few different conditions.
The 2Furious would get into a roll about 2-3 feet sooner than the Furious. The ball used its energy throughout the entire lane, yielding a controllable / hard arch to the pocket. The 2Furious matched up extremely well on the DBA surface with the shot at 38 feet in length (Kegel oil and lane machine). I was able to keep my angles tighter through the front, and not have the need to give the pocket away on the fresh league condition. Because the 2Furious picks up on the lane a little quicker, and has more flare due to the new N.O.S. core, it gives me better carry when missing in on said league pattern, where the Furious comes in behind the headpin leaving me a 7 pin due to the increased oil of the middle of the lane.
Next, I used the 2Furious on Pro-Anvilane (the third edition), on our house shot (less volume than previous house, and also using Kegel oil and machine). With the smoother surface of the lane, the 2Furious was a touch cleaner to the breakpoint and used less energy, yielding a stronger hard arch back to the pocket, leaving 8 pins, as well as a few 6 pins. I was able to strike, but not with as high of a carry percentage as at the other house . As I moved deeper inside, I experienced a touch of rollout, yielding a few strikes and some 7 pins. To match this ball to this condition and lane surface, a light scratching by hand using a 2000 abralon getting it back to box surface, or possibly hitting it with 1000 on the spinner, will blend the reaction on the lane, giving me the desired roll for that particular condition.
The 2Furious will be a great benchmark ball, as there are plenty of options above and below it in hook potential.
The 2Fast and 2Furious feature the new N.O.S. core. This core provides a good amount of flare potential and hook at this price point. Combined with the previously released Tropical Heat balls, The New 2Furious and 2Fast really covers about any volume of oil pattern (with surface changes) without spending a lot of money.
Heavy handed players with slower ball speeds will find that they like the 2Furious for medium heavy to heavy oil lane conditions. Bowlers with a lot of axis rotation will like the overall hook potential compared to last yearâ€™s Furious. Speed dominant players will get more hook than what they had with the Furious. And last, bowlers with very minimal axis tilt and minimal axis rotation will like the control that the 2Furious will give in the back part of the lane due to the stronger core using more energy in the midlane than what the Furious used.

Storms newest balls in the Hot Line are the 2Furious and 2Fast. Both with the new N.O.S. core surronded by the R2S cover.

I drilled my 2Furious with the pin 4 1/2" from pap and the cg 4" from pap with a small hole down. This places the pin in my ring finger. I have used this layout in several balls and for me it is a very controlable layout.

The 2Furious has been a good ball for me early in league and also on the fresh on the Scorpion and Viper patterns. It blends the over/under of freshly oiled lanes. In league I use the 2Furious until it starts to read the lane to early resulting in soft hits. I then switch to the 2Fast. It is drilled exactly like the 2Furious and because of the pearl shell it allows me to move slightly left and keep my carry.

For me the 2Furious fits in between my Reign of Fire and the Furious. The RoF with the same layout outhooks my 2Furious by 3-4 boards. It also has a much sharper move compared to the 2Furious. The 2Furious gives me about an arrow more hook than my Furious.

For any bowler looking for a good two ball arsenal I would recommend the 2Fast and 2Furious. The 2Furious for heavy oil and the 2Fast for lighter oil.

Loved the old furious, so just had to grab the 2furious.

Drilled the ball to be smooth through the heads and to have a strong arc in the back.

Out of the box, the ball's aggressive nature was a little to strong for the short patterns i was bowling on. Being me, i tend to Polish solid bowling balls to give me a little more consistent roll through the heads.

Polished, this ball is awesome for me. Rolls extremely easy for me and has a impressively strong arc and carry.

The difference between the Furious and the 2Furious for me is the backends. The Furious tends to have more of a smooth curve in the back, and the 2Furious has a strong arc. And both of them have great carry.

If you loved the Furious, its time to get the 2Furious

Awesome ball "Storm", You guys never disappoint me.

Lay Out: 5" from PAP at 55* PAP angle and 35* VAL angle. Dual angle measurement would be 55/5/35. The pin ended up above my ring finger and there is no weight hole yet.

Surface: I have left it at box finish which is 2000abr. I have been using Turbo Strike Wipes to remove the dirt but haven't thrown it enough to touch up the surface

Purpose: I wanted to have a newer benchmark ball to get a read on the lane with. This also could double as a good first-game ball until transition (carry-down) set in.

Lane Condition observations: I have thrown this on our house shot and a sweeper that used the Kegel Middle Road pattern. On the house shot it was very strong and definitely carried better when started on the oiler part of the lane. If I stood on top of the friction, the ball stopped early enough to ping corners. A smoother surface might get this ball to hold more energy playing the lanes that way. On the Beaten Road pattern, this ball was good to get a feel for where the friction was and I used it until the lanes started to read early.

Final Thoughts: We are having good success selling these as a stronger read ball and also to folks looking to get more performance at this price point. I am seeing this as a good ball to build a arsenal around as it is very medium in it's look on the lane and the way it gives you a good read on the pattern.

Reaction: 2 furious is an amazing piece to the storm family. It replaces the original furious, the 2 furious reads the lane earlier then the original furious but has a much stronger move on the backend. This ball will be great on a heavier oiled fresh lane pattern. This ball is definitly an amazing piece for the price your paying!!

Comparison: this ball fits in perfectly above a 2fast but below the reign of fire with similar drill patterns.

This layout was designed to allow this ball to read the lane early.

Throughout the season this has been the first ball out of my bag. It’s a great first game ball and it usually lasts me through the first game, and sometimes into the second. At this point the ball usually starts to check up too early and I have to ball down. However, there have been cases on heavier patterns where this was not a problem until much later in the tournament. Just make sure you key an eye on the heads because if they start to break down quickly, you WILL have to switch balls. This is the case with any dull ball though.

This ball really shines on medium to long and medium-heavy patterns. Once it starts to hook, it does so smoothly, evenly, and predictably which is something that can really help on conditions that many bowlers struggle with.

As with all of the STORM equipment I own, (2Furious, 2Fast, Prodigy, Natural, Virtual Gravity, Tropical Heat Hybrid) when matched with the proper lane condition, this ball will give you quite an edge over your competition.

BALL REACTION

This ball is great for any house shot or medium length sport shot. At 2000 abralon the ball has a nice continuous arc to the pocket, starting in the midlane and moving evenly through the backend. At 4000 abralon it still picks up nicely in the mid lane and gives a strong backend reaction. This ball is my 'benchmark' ball, it does a great job of reading the lanes and showing me where the transition and friction (or lack thereof) begins. At 2000 grit it really shows you where the midlane friction is, and helps you decide if you need to go to a stronger or weaker ball.

This ball does great on any house shot, and on medium length sport shots like the PBA Viper shot. Even for lower rev players, this ball has enough midlane and backend to let bowlers move in from the outside and play the track area. It is one of the best balls for the money out there.

Probably the best word I could use to describe the 2Furious is predictable, in a very good sense of the word. When you're looking for consistency and precision, predictable is exactly what you want. Long or short oil patterns, it reacts similarly, showing some movement in the oil while still maintaining more than enough force on the back end to hit the pocket and carry. I've seen people throw a ball saying it was the best shot they've thrown all day only to see them turn around absolutely perplexed wondering why they're ball didn't react as they expected. I have never had that problem with the 2Furious, ever. You can read its entire motion the moment it leaves your hand. This also makes it great for shaping up an unknown oil pattern.

My 2Fast and my 2Furious were bought together and drilled identically. The pin on both balls is 2.5-3inches, and was drilled with the pin about an inch or an inch and a half above my ring finger with the CG kicked out right, and the drilling was meant to not change much and sort of let the ball do what it was originally designed for.

While I have never been a huge fan of dull bowling equipment (my low axis of rotation tends to make dull bowling balls hook too early and not store energy), I knew that I needed at least one in my arsenal for the higher volume oil patterns that teams experience in collegiate competition. This ball was meant to be that bowling ball, and was also going to be a ball that I could easily transition from, into my 2Fast.

The ball definitely served its purpose well, and it grabs the lane and finds friction even in higher volumes. I probably didn't bowl as many games with it as most of my team mates as I would transition to a ball with more length as soon as I felt the lanes would allow me, but this ball none the less became a main-stay in 3 or 4 of the men's team member's bags, and was a n integral part of my own arsenal while I waited for the lanes to dry up a little bit at the start of each day.
