Storm Ivasion
« on: November 12, 2012, 12:04:36 AM »
So I have a NIB 15lbs Storm Invasion I've been sitting on for a little while, not sure if I want to drill it. I just started bowling again after a 3yr layoff. Been having really good luck with my Storm 2nd Dimension, but after the 1st game I'm usually switching to something weaker. Either my AMF Orbit or my Columbia Scout. Which isnt always good! LOL

I know the Invasion is a few years old, but whats it worth as far as $$$ price?

And what would be a good ball to fit under my 2nd Dimension.. Thanks!

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.  I personally HATED the Invasion.  Ball had way to strong of a core/cover combo.  It burned up energy way too quickly.  It would most likely not be a good fit under your Second Dimension.  It would most likely be over it on really juicy conditions.  I would suggest either a mid range pearl/hybrid (Hyroad, FireRoad, Fringe, Crossroad) or something from the Tropical line.  I've had great success with the Tropical Heat solid.  Back to what you could probably get for the Invasion, if someone offered 100 shipped, I'd take it.  Best of luck.

+1 with storm22. The Invasion, while a great piece for the Stroker, was not a hugely popular piece as far as continual usage. People bought it, didnt have enough oil for it, and it ended up sitting in the bag. While it could still rival some of the other strong symmetrical pieces for strong movement, its not the latest and greatest or the most popular of pieces. I think 125 shipped is a more than fair if you can sit on it. 100 shipped would be good if you were looking to get rid of it faster, but no lower. Its still a high performance ball at a less than high performance price.
