If you are looking for a earlier rolling smooth ball on a Budget look no further. This is one of my favorites on league night around game two when the lanes can start to show some over/under reaction. The smoothness of the WipeOut gives me a nice controllable look that likes the oil but doesn't go sideways and get uncontrollable in the dryer parts of the lane.
The Turbine core has been a solid and proven winner. If you were a fan of the tropical heats this is a must have!
This is one big ball at a small price point!

Storm Wipe Out Ball Review by Brian Watson

The Storm Wipeout uses the successful Turbine Core wrapped with R2S Solid Reactive Coverstock.

This is a solid version of the Lights out. I drilled mine Wipeout 4 1⁄2 x 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 has a very smooth arc motion on the backend, and is very controllable. This motion reminds be a lot of the Storm 2Furious.

I have good success using the ball on the fresh on house shot and on medium sport patterns. Also the Wipe Out is a good choice on the Wet/Dry conditions as it blends out the ball motion real well.

The response time off of the dry is slower , thus giving a clean controllable motion at the breakpoint.

The Cover is very versatile and I use Storm Step 2 when I need a little more length. This is a great fit In the Hot Line and a lot of ball for the price point.

Compared to Reign On at 3000 abralon

After receiving the information regarding the Storm Wipe Out I was super excited to order this ball. We decided to put a layout on this ball to give me a really low pin because I really needed a mid range solid that rolls super early but doesn't burn up on me. The layout I have on this ball is 70 x 4.25 x 80. I was able to leave the cover alone when I did my video but since then I have changed surfaces pretty frequently over the summer when I was at USBC Nationals, Queens and then when I bowled in the Luci Bonneau Mixed Doubles. This ball is by far one of the most versatile balls I've ever thown. Even though it is in the Hot line of our Storm lineup, I think for the price point it is so much more bang for your buck. I can play straight with this ball, I can take a big step left, I can use it on fresh and I can use this during transition, I can use it on almost anything. I love this ball because on almost anything it helps to blend the pattern out. I love this ball compared to the Reign On because when the Reign starts hooking too much I can stay where I am at and ball change to the Wipe Out. With this ball you can really start throwing down a clean fight!

The Wipe Out from Storm is a Solid Reactive Ball that fills a hole in the Hot Line. It is a ball that rolled well for me as soon as I drilled it. Even though the ball is a solid it didn’t read the heads too early and burn up. It starting reading in the mid lane for me and continued very well through the pocket. When you see the Wipe Out hits the pins you wouldn’t guess you’re throwing a low end priced ball. I get approached by parents all the time looking for a ball suggestion for their kids. They are looking for something to upgrade from the Plastic or Urethane ball their kid got in a have a ball league. I don’t want to stick these kids in a $200 bowling ball yet, so the Wipe Out and Punch Out are both perfect this type of scenario.

Having said that make no mistake the Wipe Out is a good enough ball for the seasoned scratch bowler’s tournament bag. It is nice to be able to have an option during tournament play to drop in balls, and still keep a solid in your hand. I have also seen a few people show up at tournaments with the Wipe Out highly polished, and it looked like it rolled great!

In short the Wipe out is a great ball because it offers versatility and power all a great price. I feel the Wipe out is a great addition to the Hot Line that should fill many needs!
