Layout 5 Pin to PAP x 3 MB to PAP x 4.5” Pin Buffer - NO weight hole

The follow up to the hottest selling ball on the market is here!  The Virtual Energy features a HYBRID R2X cover wrapped around the Shapelock HD Core.

Some comments on the videos:

I was very excited when I heard about this release.  I love my Virtual Gravities, and I love my hyroads.  Combine the two and BAM! You have a virtual energy!

The 4.5 x 5 x 2 VE I drilled is flat out awesome…clean through the fronts, strong roll in the midlane (like a hyroad) and I huge move downlane…continuation and pin carry is above average, just like the virtual gravity.  I used this ball for the comparison to my favorite Virtual Gravity and Hyroad.  The Virtual Gravity is still the king as far as overall hook.  The Virtual Energy will work perfectly when your Virtual Gravity is simply too much.  For those who are more of a fan of the Hy-Road, the Virtual Energy will give you a similar look with a stronger move downlane and more overall hook.  It falls right in between the two as far as total hook goes.

The 5 x 3 x 4.5 was drilled to create a smoother overall motion, and it does.  Again, clean through the front, strong roll in the midlane and again a strong move off the back of the pattern.  I then adjusted the surface on this ball to see how versatile it really was.  At 4000 and 2000 the total hook increased, but the backend reaction DID NOT SUFFER, it still flipped hard and drove strong on the back.  Don’t be afraid to touch the surface on this ball!

Without a doubt, Storm has another incredible ball here.  The stuff coming out of Utah is second to NONE…The virtual energy is going to be a must have for tournament and league bowlers alike.

Thanks!

what a beast!

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

Thanks for the video, I have been waiting for this one for some time now. The only thing I have to say is can you film a video where you are not covering the whole lane. Say play up 10 or something. Ever ball that you have filmed from the new line up you are covering the whole lane even with the weaker stuff. Just a thought as I like to play straight and would like to see the ball roll as such. Thanks for the vids!

Twckhorn,

I film with what the lanes give me...without a huge change in speed/release, i am not going to be able to play up 10 with this ball and alot of other pieces, too much friction on a THS.

Keeping a consistent release and speed allows me to compare balls to each other so you can see the approximate difference in reactions and total hook.  Changing that can get confusing...all of a sudden when i kill a shot and play up 10 people will say "OMG THAT BALL SUCKS IT DOESN'T HOOK"...make sense?

This is why i have started to do different layouts and surface changes to show playing different parts of the lane with the same ball...such as this one of the fast with a 2x4 layout

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svNbYa7rgX0

The natural video will show me playing around 10

Awesome videos Britton, that ball is a bear compared to the Virtual, seems a lot flippier on the backend rather than the strong smooth roll of the virtual.

Think if one were to sand this bad boy down to say 1000 or 2000 Abby, it could be an awesome oil ball?  Or should I just look at the V. Gravity and not even worry about this?

You should throw the same line with 2 different balls in the comparison as well.  Like when you moved way in with the VG you should have thrown the same line with the VE and vise versa just to really see the difference in strength/reaction.

I was just wondering if you have ever thrown the tropical storm britton? Im in need of a new light oil ball but every one ive had in the past hasnt had the best of carry, especailly urethane, and from looking at the specs and everything, it seems the tropical is the only entry level/light oil ball out there with a core. Just wondering if you ever have and if yes, your opinion on it.

can't wait to see what the "natural" can do when you throw it.. I hope they sent you a couple of them so you can a least try a different type of drilling in the ball.. yes yes, can't wait, good luck..

PS. if you get the chance, I hope you can throw it on some nice burnt up lanes to really see what it does and how it handles..

My thought also when I look at the comparison videos.

Is there any fear of ball death with the VE ? Is this ball something a person can use for a THS shot ? I have a friend who has the VG and say it's not enough oil for the ball. I think every league bowler wants a ball like the VE.  With the talk of ball death of the VG I'm kinda on the bubble about it.
