Something under the Gravity
« on: July 21, 2009, 02:12:07 AM »
I am looking for something to go under my Gravity Shift right now I have the original Shift but it is time to retire it. I am looking for something smooth off the break when the lanes break down. I was looking at the 2nd Demension being that it is a symmetrical core I was thinking that it will get down the lane pretty easy and give me enough pop on the backend. If the 2D isn't a good idea give me some other suggestions. Thanks

The Second Dimension is too strong to fit under the Gravity Shift.  I would recommend something more like the Hy-Road or the Fast.

I find my old Pyro and T-Road Pearl are amazing complements to the Gravity Shift.

I have both and I would say that SD is a little smoother than the Gravity Shift, but not by much. The T-Road Pearl or a Fast would be better options if you are looking for a step down.

If you are not limited to Storm, look at a Momentum Swing 2k -4k abralon polished. After trying everything in my bag Sunday afternoon, Virtual Gravity 9/ 9/ 9/, HyRoad for 5 games averaged 210 until 5th game 154, Gravity Shift for game and a half, 170+, went to Momentum Swing and had no problem getting it down the lane, 224, 210, 204. Nothing spectacular, but compared to everyone else, the ball looked good. The Gravity Shift was having trouble turning the corner with the carry down, but the Momentum Swing never missed a beat. Think I finally found a reason to keep the ball.

I was looking for the same thing for a while and it depends on how far of a step down you want.

I have both a drilled Hyroad and a spit fire (very similar to a Fast).  They both do their job at different times, but...

Looking in your arsenal I might go with the Fast.  It should give you more playability since you really don't have anything on the lighter side.

I've found that my 2nd and my gravity flip flop in their "aggressiveness"  the 2nd is much smoother so on shorter patterns or less volume the gravity (at least for me) tends to give me more overall hook, so I wouldn't look to a 2nd.

Usually after my gravity I step down to my T-Road Pearl with a light 2000 pad on it.  Although my Wrath High Flush gives me a smoother down-lane reaction than the t road.

I'd suggest a Fast or even another gravity with a weak drill on it and a 4000 polish.

Thanks to everybody for all the insite. I think the Fast is exactly what I am looking for.
