Post by: alex on October 29, 2009, 01:56:11 AM
H
Is there anyone out their that hs tried this drilling on a Virtual Gravity or Energy? If so what were were the results such as did it really make the ball go longer, straighter but still retain the hit these balls are known for. I am thinking of trying this drill on one of these two balls. My bowling center has started to put more oil on the lanes and i find i need something for the first game or game and a half.I am a senior stroker who throws around 15mph down and in.Thanks for any help on this subject.

I did that kind of layout in a Dimension. You are looking for an oil layout and that might not be the greatest of choices. That layout is suited for flatter patterns where you are not looking for a change in direction. My ball spins over 500 RPMs and the layout would stand up and layoff. That ball tossed a lot of 279's as I could finally get out there where the strokers played.

You have a lot of options for layouts to accomplish your goal. I'd lean you towards the Energy so that you can keep the ball in your hand longer. Talk to your pro shop, I am sure they'll take care of you. Good luck!
