300 with Special Agent
« on: December 29, 2007, 02:27:04 PM »
I shot my second 300 game tonight!  (Well, 3rd if you count the one in practice I had back in May, likewise with the Special Agent)  And even better, I shot it at the house where I've traditionally had the most trouble carrying.

After a terrible 151 the first game (thanks to leaving about 4 ringing 10 pins, missing two of them like an idiot, and a couple splits), I switched to my Special Agent and moved inside, rolling it a little slower playing about 13 to 10, and making sure I didn't get lazy with my revs.  After leaving a couple 10 pins, I shot a 244.  I stuck with the same exact line the entire third game, I never had to move even a board.  All 12 strikes the last game were good -- no goofy lucky breaks.  The first ball of the 10th was a little fast, but hit good swisher pocket and easily struck.  The last two shots were pure flush, probably the best two shots I threw all night.

When there's enough head oil, I love using the Special Agent to give me a smooth, consistent reaction and surprisingly good carry.  Even with a higher pin layout, this ball still gives me a smooth, controllable breakpoint and really drives hard through the pindeck.  One of my favorite balls I've ever thrown!

Congrats Dan!  Lately I've been going to my Special in the 2nd or 3rd game also.  I also have the pin above ring for a later move & it's picked me up from an otherwise dismal night. But I have to worry about revving it too much as opposed to not enough. I also have to move left and keep it tight in the oil so it doesn't hit friction too early.  Congrats again!!

Great shooting man, way to bounce back like a champion. I love a smooth rolling Storm ball. Hell, I think we all do
