A little transparency and some brutal honesty
« on: October 10, 2017, 06:59:39 AM »
To be fair, in my Match Up Pearl video, it looked a lot better than I made it sound, and some felt I was being inconsistent, so here's the real deal.  If I moved right, it overhooked, if I moved left, it didn't do anything.  If I hit up on it, it's like it tried resisting rolling, if I was firm with it, it didn't wrinkle, and if I was easier with it, same result.  A short (yes, actually and truly short!) explanation on some of the rules I try to follow when doing a review, and the footage that didn't make the cut:

So I guess you better get out there and drill up some Storm Match Up Solids and do a review so that I can figure out what I need to do to make it "Match Up" to me.  LOL

Seriously though, thanks for the follow up.  Based upon your previous video reviews, I figured you probably had to work at it to make the Match Up Pearl work for you.

Thanks for the integrity but in general at least with Storm balls I don't pay much attention to videos anywhere near release.  I go for the balls that have been available for three years or more.  So far no regrets other than giving up on using an IQ Tour on house shot but someday that ball will save my bacon I know.  Your essential collection, now that is worth watching.

Part of why I did it.  Hype for new stuff is just part of the headache.  Reality is I'm on staff to sell equipment.  I can sell equipment AND be honest about it AND get someone what they want or need all at the same time though.  Storm makes good stuff that's fun to throw, it's marketed well, and they've got good people working for them.  Plus it all smells like stuff and I'm a candle freak.
