T-Road Pearl plus another Storm ball
« on: March 07, 2008, 09:15:13 AM »
Well some of you might remember me not liking the T-Road Pearl. I tried trading it for another ball, the person didnt like the few minor battle scars. Oh well their loss. The ball is drilled rather weak but thats not a bad thing. Last night the shot burned up around the 15-10 board line after 7-8 frames. While everyone else moved left and fought the ball with wanting to over react I switched balls to the T-Road (something that i didnt really think id do) and was able to play the line i was lined up on for the rest of game 1. After that all my moves were to the right. I think I found the ball that will allow me to play my favorite line of 15-8 as my last 2 games were 257 and 247 on this line. I never really gave up on it, just tried it, didnt like it and put it away for another time. Now its a ball that has a spot in my bag.

I noticed the Storm Fire Diablo is becoming a hard to find ball. A friend of mine has one and occasionally lets me use it. That ball is awesome in my hands with suck great predictablity. I found one thats practically new for $35 and already plugged ready to be drilled. Cant wait to get that one drilled for my aresnal. Not like I need any more solid cover balls in my bag though...

I find my T-Road Pearl to be situational...but then again I bowl on fresh shots in league now.  But the times I've used it recently on more broken down, quicker hooking patterns, the T-Road has shined like a gem.  I'm hoping it will prove useful on the Cheetah pattern in a week.

Today I shot 760 with the T Road Pearl. I found that this ball is best for me during carrydown. I was playing the exact same line that you were playing, but I am lefthanded. I also threw a 297 in that series also. All pretty much had to do for the first two games was touch the headpin and it was over.

Go Maryland Terrapins!!!!

I do find the T-Road to shine when the lanes go through transistion and settle back down through the 3rd game. Today I just got my Power Groove Reactive. Im hoping to save my solid cover peices for heavier oil nights, tournaments, and PBA Experience leauges with a 1-2 punch of the 2 pearls. Cant wait to hear the comments tonight at the lanes when I start bowling with a Blue/Pink PG Reactive. LOL
