any info on the new Reactor cover???

any one have any info this new cover? is it stronger than the Monsoon.

It has different Characteristics than Monsoon.
Stronger is a relative term.

It is cleaner through the front I believe with a quicker response to the dry.

IMO, Reactor looks like it reads better in the oil and is still strong in the dry so it blends the pattern better than the previous Storm coverstocks that just skid skid skid then want to jacknife once they hit friction.  I've seen a local player/driller who's drilled up the three new pieces with the Reactor Coverstock on them and they all seem to have much more smoother characteristics when transitioning from the oil to dry but they are still strong(even the Hot Rod Hybrid).  Think of it as Reactor is to Monsoon as Activator is to Powerkoil 18.

Monsoon is a bit stronger to friction, but the Reactor seems to give a better and earlier read while still being strong in the backend.

it reacts just as dp3 days. i have a banshee, hot rod hybrid
and a fired up. i thought that the banshee would fit between the
other two but the hot rod hybrid rolls earlier and is stronger
the backend even though it is drilled weaker than my banshee.
banshee is drilled 5x4, hybrid is drilled 4 1/2 x 5 1/2. the
fired up is THE strongest ball on the backend by storm that i
have ever thrown.

also, i emailed storm's technical rep and he said that the reactor
coverstock is the second strongest that storm has behind the sfa?
coverstock.

Yeah, SFA is the monster cover on the Vertigo.  Reactor reminds me of Accu-Tread, almost like a combination of it and Monsoon.  It's got the predictability of Monsoon and the brute strength on the backend like Accu-Tread.  I like DP3's comparison though, it does smell strongly of PK-18.

So you mean that Storm just suddenly changed what coverstock they were putting on a current ball? So when you order a Triple X, you really don't know which one you will get if there's 2 different covers on this ball?

Lol, those are THE two worst balls with Monsoon on them, IMO.  Try a Recharge or a Super Charge, that'll change your mind.

That's beside the fact that the core in the Banshee is easily the worst of the lot.  That freakin Flash core SUCKS.

I have the Triple X (14#) with the Monsoon cover and it has been a great ball for me. Still use it a lot. It is consistant and works like it was meant to. I don't understand the complaints about this cover. I also loved the Accu-Tread cover on the Triple X Extreme and I would still be throwing this ball had I not sold it when I dropped to 14# balls.

No no, Brunswick is the one that jacknifes.  The hook/set thing Brunswick does bugs the crap out of me.  I like how clean the balls are at the breakpoint, but man, you want to talk about an exercise in frustration.

HamPster, Flash series are made for those with hand. All of my Flash core balls laugh at the pattern and just finish.
