The balls cosmetically are ugly. We got them in our shop. The Pearl version looks like the Fired Up except the color is all red, where the Fired Up has orange and red. But this pearl ThunderStruck is ugly. And the Solid, which is all Purple with white and green labels isnt any better.

I can see it already, these balls are going to be a dud, and the people who buy them will call them Thunder Suck, instead of Thunder Struck

Wow, that has to be one of the worst replies I've ever seen...

Pictures of both of the Thunder Strucks here: ttp://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=126880&ForumID=13&CategoryID=2

And specs on both of the ball here: http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=126306&ForumID=13&CategoryID=2

I hope that helps out a little more than the previous post.

Just by the appearance you can tell they are gonna be a dud?

He's a Hammer Head... he wouldn't know a good ball if it walked up and kicked him in the groin.

What's kinda funny is that the pearl looks almost exactly like the old Red Pearl Hammer to me.

It's clear the graphics package is meant to pick up the design cues from the old Thunder series -- and given that most of the buyers of these balls are likely to be old Thunder series users, that's smart marketing, IMO.

Wow.  You couldn't be more wrong.  I want one of those solid purple balls.

this guy hasn't looked at the current hammer line lately huh? how about staying in your little hammer forum, instead of bashing storm balls.

I have to give props to any company that has the rocks to put out a sweet looking plain-colored ball.  Right now Storm has the Dark Thunder and Thunder Struck out.  That makes them pretty cool in my book.  I think it's good that they have those balls out for people seeking plain colored stuff.  Now if I could only find a high performance plain color ball...

While we are talking about Hammer, they almost had it with the Black Widow but they kind of chickened out and put red in the coverstock.  The sweetest design would have been to put a solid black ball and the red hourglass on it.  It's still a pretty cool looking ball though.

Guys I drilled up a solid one tonight. 4 1/2 X 3 1/2 cg below the mid line X-hole though the gc though the cg to the Val. I hit the surface with 2000 pad. This ball was a monster! Bowler on a House shot it rolled great in the oil and didnt jump off the dry. But it still made a strong move on the back. 290-280-268-265 for 4 games. If you want a solid reative I would get one!

I use balls from all companies, but I'd be hard-pressed to come up with a better all-time core/coverstock matchup than what Storm has done over the life of its Thunder series.
