Need some help on a possible change in my arsenal. I plan on getting 1 ball this year for league.

Here's what i currently have:
Code Black (cover kinda died on me)
Son!q
Torrent
Crux Pearl (still works well on broken down lanes)
All Out Show Off

We rarely play on very heavy oil patterns, that's why i was surprised that my Code Black died after about 30-50 games on it.

What do you guys think? Either I drop the Code Black since it doesn't hook unless you throw it on dry lanes or I drop the Crux Pearl just because its 4 years old already.

Please help me out guys. I only got approval from my boss (wife) to get 1 new ball this year.

I would detox and resurface the Code Black and Crux Pearl.

Thereâ€™s a few different options. What shape are you looking for? Closer to the Torrent/AOSO or closer to the Code Black/Crux Pearl/Son!Q?

Detox the black and resurface like the previous reply said, then punch a Crux Prime.

BTW that would be a decent set up, better than most I see on here and Facebook asking for recommendations. From top to bottom you have a decent bag!

Odds are the code black just needs some love. R2S is decently easy to get back to box finish, it won't ever be like it was new, but pretty close.

i'm gonna help you out my man.

first, like everyone said, fight to get the code black back to "normal". detox and resurface and all that good stuff.

then, go to your local PSO and find out how much it would be to get both After Darks drilled, out the door price. then find a high end ball that will be similar in price to both the after darks combine. Then sell her on that price being the ball you want. once she OK's it, go back to your PSO to "get that ball", then call her from there and let her know you can essentially get two balls for the price of the one shes already expecting you to get. now you have two great balls that can work for you, since you said yourself you don't bowl on anything heavy.

now, there is a draw back, when you say you can essentially get two balls for the price you were expecting to pay for one, there's a chance she says "well why can't you get one of those two and spend half the amount". which is why you really have to sell the price of the one ball, really get it in her head thats how much will be spent.

You have to have notifications lol. Iâ€™m trying to decide if I want a weak solid or strong solid for my sportshot league.

Iâ€™ve got a no rules pearl (1500 grit), daredevil trick (oob finish), hyroad (oob finish) and my after dark pearl (oob finish)

I was thinking either the after dark solid or turmoil solid

But the price of that turmoil solid yo. Plus I planned on doing a lot of surface work. If I got the turmoil solid Iâ€™d keep it dull, hit my dare devil with like 3000 grit and the hyroad at 4000 and keep my ADP shiny because thatâ€™s my house shot ball
