Title: Arsenal Reconfiguration
Post by: 2handedrook12 on February 02, 2014, 10:27:11 PM
I am starting to notice my Hy-Road is getting weaker. It has been a great benchmark for me all season. It was skidding more in oil 2 weeks ago. I soaked it to remove the oil in it and it helped me at my sectionals. Unfortunately, now my Frantic is earlier and has more backend than my Hy-Road. So instead of looking for weaker pieces to add, I want two stronger pieces. Right now I am thinking of the following: Marvel Pearl, Byte, IQ Tour Fusion, IQ Tour Solid, Asylum, Defiant Soul, Reign Of Power. I want a ball with a strong cover (but no particles), strong core (but not a very early core). Any thoughts would be appreciated. I posted this in a different area earlier, but I was hoping I would get more responses here. Also I would like to add I am not afraid to change the surface of my boeling balls or play straighter.

the marvel pearl is an excellent choice. probably their best pearl ball in the last couple of years. the regular iq or the marvel s. would be good for strong covers. even a vivid would do the trick

I would go with the Tour Fusion and Asylum or Soul above the Frantic. The Tour Fusion should fit nicely above the Frantic, similar if not the same cover (depending on if Storm altered the formula or not). Asylum and Soul both have stronger cores and covers that will handle heavier volumes, Soul has asymmetric core which will allow for some more options. I loved my Soul on anything above medium and the Asylum has had nothing but good reviews
