ball advice
« on: November 22, 2007, 02:37:09 AM »
Greetings Stormers

I need help in choosing a ball. Right now I am using a T-ROAD solid, a Secret Agent and also a T-ROAD PEARL so what I am looking for is a tame ball to fit under these oil balls.

I have my T-ROAD solid at OOB condition and the Secret Agent at 2000 abralon W/polish and my T-ROAD PEARL at oob with an extreme coat of polish

 Thanks for your input!!

Well, I think it will be between the STORM Jolt-Pearl or the STORM Tropical. What I'm looking for is something very smoooooth that I can play up the 10 board.

If you want smoooooooooth, go with the Jolt Pearl.  The Tropical may be too skid/snap by nature for what you want.

I have a jolt solid and a tropical storm. Both really nice balls for the right conditions.

My Jolt has a 2" pin-PAP and is probably the smoother of the two reacting earlier but more of a hook-set type affair.

The tropical has a RICO drilling and that goes ok. It tends to be a little more angular, doing almost nothing for most of the lane and nipping in in the last 8 feet or so. Great for playing a dry outside line, can be a little so-so on shorter oils.

Don't know much about the pearl, but if it's anything like the solid, it'll be a decent ball. The only downside to my jolt is it tends to track up awfully fast, like my old x-factor deuce did. So bear that in mind.
