Step down from Rapid Fire Solid
« on: December 07, 2008, 01:02:34 PM »
I have the rapid fire solid. It is a good ball for the first two games in league, but as they dry out I need something with more angle as I move deeper. The rapid fire pearl is the intended compliment, but I have not bowled well with pearl balls. I find they are too squirty. I don't have enough hand to get the ball to finish if I miss in the oil. I am also looking at the T-Road Pearl, Hyroad. I am worried about the T-Road Pearl being squirty aswell. The Hyroad might out hook my Rapid Fire, but that isn't a big issue if it does. I really just need more angle, hook doesn't matter. Any comments would be appreciated, if you have thrown one or more of these balls.

Lippie you nailed the ball you should go to in your post, Rapid Fire Pearl. You said you are looking for something more angular and that's just what the RFP is about. You seem to like the core and cover of the Rapid Fire so why not go to the RFP to solve your problem?

If it seems squirty, hit it with a light touch of surface to help blend the reaction.

Agree with the suggestions so far, Street Rod Solid with polish or just knock the polish of the pearl verison(Rapid Fire Pearl)to eliminate the squirt.

I agree with above. Also, the RFP is not extremely shiny at box finish as it is.
