Banshee for light oil?
« on: March 11, 2005, 05:57:33 AM »
I'm looking for a skid/flip reaction on a light oil pattern.   I have a NIB banshee I'm thinking about drilling up.  Probably do a 5 X 5 layout and put the polish to it.  Would this work, or is it just too much ball?  I have seen a couple of people throw the ball on medium to medium light conditions (one had been sanded to a matte finish though).  I'm expecting to have to play deep on ths shot, just want something that has some backend and hit.  What are your thoughts?

thanks,

Strapper/ just got done throwing the Banshee this afternoon along with the rest of my arsenal, getting ready for tournments this weekend and next.  This ball is made to go long with a sharp break point and I have it drilled to take advantage of this.  Great ball for light to medium oil depending on how much hand you have.  I can actually play a small swing shot when the conditions are right but most of the time it is down and it. If I want to play deeper my next ball out is my Roto Silver Streak Pearl. The Banshee seems to go forever before it makes its move but is very sharp at the back end. Good hitting power.  Hope this helps.  I keep it polished to be sure of getting the length as well as not having it burn up to soon when the outsides transition. I have the Real Deal, Big Bully, Thing Lives, Sonic Boom, Ultimate Inferno, Intense Inferno and V2 Clean as well as the above two all drilled for specific conditions so I can put 4 balls together that compliment each other.  My main recommendation is to make sure you drill a ball for what the core and cover stock is intended for and unless you have a lot of hand the Banshee would not be my 1st choice for a ball to go inside with.  This is just my opinoin, others might differ.  Good Luck
