Better than the Paradigm??
« on: March 22, 2006, 09:31:06 PM »
Guys, I've got to tell ya, I'm really starting to fall in love with my Pyro! This thing is super strong, super versatile, and it seems to have more predictability and overall hitting power than my Paradigm.

For the price, it seems like you can't go wrong. Seriously, if you're thinking about getting a Paradigm, save your money and get yourself a Pyro. You won't regret it!

I totally agree this ball is sick I cant wait to throw it again.  Have league tonight and i am counting the seconds till i get to throw this thing again.  That is hard for me to say cause i been throwing nothing but my epic battles in league cause they are money but this ball impressed me.

Get the Pyro, I was debating on whether or not to get the Paradigm or not.  I have dull oil balls, but was looking for an aggressive pearl.  I ordered the Pyro, for a much better price mind you, and I made the right decision.  I only have 4 games on it, so learning its characteristics, but shot 726 on Tuesday, pulled it out last night, after losing the shot I had, and shot a 266 with it.  Very smooth, very versatile, and recovers nicely, if you make a mistake. So I played probably 4 different lines, in 4 games, and had a good carry angle, just wish I pulled that out first game last night...ouch...but you have to have one if you love Storm. I throw nothing but Storm, and this by far seems to be the most verstile yet.....Go get it..you will want 2...

jablosa, how did you drill it?  I have to drill one for my friend and I'm thinking of drilling it with just a simple label shift ( pin at 3 1/2" and CG at 4") because he doesn't have a drilling like this in his bag. I think it will be really vertisile for him.  Any input would help. Thanx.

Why compare the two? Two different looks out the two balls. First off, a Paradigm is only as good as the layout. A lot of drillers are just drawing lines on them and not really measuring off a bowlers PAP. Even better, people just go in the pro shop and say match the layout to this ball.

Paradigm vs. Pyro
No doubt a Pyro gets off the breakpoint and is probably a better choice to bowl league with as a Paradigm is not cheap. But what the hell, there are a whole lot of once a week bowlers wheeling in 6 balls to league like they are tough. Why not buy both?!

I drilled mine about 3/4 of an inch from ring finger, and stacked the cg below.  Had to remove about 1/2 ounce and I kept it close to 1 oz on the side.  As for the answer to buy both balls, yes every ball is different, but from what I have seen and heard, the Pyro is giving everyone a better read and better predictability over the Paradigm.  So in my opinion they Pyro seems to be more versatile.  However if they came out with a pearl particle Paradigm, I am sure that is going to kick Arse....until then, I am sticking with the Pyro...

third time out with the PYRO!!!  Finally went to my league in a house that has a med heavy THS shot.  So I was able to use the pyro for 3 games, woohoo.  Out the gate shot 238, with 3 fly by tens exploding the pocket.  Had really nice leangth started reading the midlane like it was reving up and exploded off the breakpoint and just crushed the pocket.  Second game had the front 5 and left a stone 8 in the six went off till second ball in tenth and left another fly by ten pin for a 258.  Last game i threw a couple shots that i reved to much and tore thru the beak made a move to adjust for that then moved back and ended up with a 233 last game for a solid 729 series was a victim of my own peanut the last game.  Love this ball on med heavy.  This ball fits in my arsenal well it is less than the oob epic battle i have and stronger than my ssse fits good think after this ball going to replace the ssse to the fired up which is on my porch right now, cant wait to drill that bad boy.  BUY THE PYRO,BUY THE PYRO,BUY THE  PYRO, you wont be disappointed.  After throwing mine yesterday sold 5 of them for the pro shop guy.
