Fusion Layout help
« on: March 31, 2014, 09:47:17 PM »
Just picked up a fusion, pro shop decided to use same layout as my polished disturbed. Disturbed has a nice smooth reaction drives into the pocket. Fusion rolls well but doesn't seem to flip turn over if that makes sense. Not really liking the reaction I am getting. I throw no thumb, high rev rate, high track, 15.5 - 16 mph. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is similar to what we used to call label leverage (depending on your PAP). Label leverage is when you place the cg in the middle of your grip, and the pin at 3 3/8" from PAP. It allows the ball to rev up, with out hooking too early, or being to angular. It's good on a variety of patterns when you want control, and don't want to use an extra hole, but still need the core to produce flare.

The only reason we don't really use the "label leverage" moniker anymore is because based on the pin distance from Cg, and PAP, label leverage is technically a different "layout" for each bowler. It is kind of like using the "Rico" layout. Technically, everyone's "Rico" layout is different because of everyone having a different PAP.
God creates us with a blank canvas, and the "picture" we paint is up to us. Paint a picture you like and love!

with a high track your pap is most likely at least 5" over, from the look of it this is going to be a pin to pap under 3", probably around 2.5" or less, which is going to promote early smoother forward roll from a symmetric ball with some flare reduction
