I've been out of bowling for a while, looking to get back in. Been lurking for a week and picking up a ton of info.
I'm looking at getting a Rapid Fire to start, to replace my very old equipment (that broke while I moved). If I'm looking to maintain the OOB 1500 surface, what product would you folks recommend for basic cleaning after a set? Additionally, what would work to restore the ball back to 1500 (abralon is 1000 or 2000?)?

I use Storm X-tra Clean after every set on my equipment.
In a recent post, Storm recommended using Reacta Clean as an every set cleaner and X-tra Clean only for marks and dirt Reacta Clean won't remove.
I've had great success with X-tra Clean, so I'm sticking with it.
To return to box, I've had success with gray scotchbrite followed by Storm Step 2.
Step 2 is a compound finish and for best results, it needs to be applied using a ball spinner.

Reacta Shineâ„¢
This one-step polish and cleaner safely restores that "tacky" feeling to reactive bowling balls. Reacta Shineâ„¢ finishes to 1500-grit with or without a ball spinner and provides outstanding length and monster backend reaction.
