Title: Closest ball to a Marvel Pearl?
Post by: dougb on June 25, 2019, 01:32:24 AM
Just getting back into bowling after a few years and it looks like one of the best balls that Storm released (and released) during my absence was the Marvel Pearl.

Unfortunately I just missed out on a 14lb one today on eBay with my favorite layout.

Is there an equivalent available?  Looks like they got the perfect core/cover combo with that one.

Thanks

Idol Pearl is awfully close.  It's a little cleaner and sharper at first, but after 15 games, it's hard to tell the difference unless you're really nitpicking.

Luke, the Idol Pearl calms down THAT MUCH after a little use? Truly?

I didn't know that. Thank you.

If you're open to other brands, I've had a similar shape in the 900 Global Eon. Length and smooth transition off the spot unless it's super polished.

Yeah, this ball was dumb strong out of box. Idk about 15 games, however, it did become more round and predictable.
