Title: Code Black and No Rules Pearl
Post by: Southern California Bowl on May 26, 2017, 10:36:18 AM
Anyone throw both of these, I was wondering how close they are. I currently have a pin below bridge Code Black and was thinking of drilling up a pin up No Rules Pearl. Just wasn't sure how close these 2 are.

Thanks is advance

The Code Black and NRP are close. I've seen a ton of people drill both and use both. I plan to do the same in the near future. The Code Black seems to transition a little bit harder and the NRP has more of a footprint. People that usually have a "pin down" Code Black tend to go "pin up" on the No Rules Pearl to ball up when moving left. People that go down on the NRP use it on the fresh (with surface like 1-3k depending on speca and condition) and go to the Code Black pin up on transition. While they are close, there is enough of a difference to have both especially with different surfaces and layouts.

I'd say that's a pretty good description above me.

The Amped Pearl cover seems to be stronger than R2S

Thanks for the input. I have a drilled code black and a NIB NRP. Can't decide if I want to drill or trade that NRP for a sure lock or code red.
