Post by: Mako on September 27, 2018, 12:49:36 PM
Anything in the Storm/RG line that is a close replacement for a Code Black?

Soniq isn’t really that close in my opinion. Hyper Cell Fused has a stronger cover but weaker core and is definitely quicker response, I like that it reads in the oil better. More versatile than the Code Black it’s really good and maybe worth a try.

Eventhough different covers I have my og hyroad covering the same amount of boards.

As assyms go I had the no rules Pearl equal in strength just not as lopey downlane. The NRP had to play more direct, but equal in strength on oil.

I know it's not Storm or Roto, but I see the exact same motion from a Black Ops.

On my 2nd Code Black and one of my favorite balls to roll. I have an Intense and definitely earlier and stronger. I just doubt you'll get the reaction from other asymmetrical balls since most are pushing ever more aggressively in coverstock. You may get a little more midlane and forward roll from other high end Assym pearls.

Prior to the CB I also sported Black Ops and would suggest this piece but it would probably mirror the reaction of a Code Red, which I never owned. I would think the Code Red to be the closest fit.

My vote is Black Ops as well. Code Red was very different for me. Not in a bad way, but they shaped too different to replace one another. Also, pretty much agree with Billdozer. Hy-Road is close in boards covered and the NRP I have to be more direct where the Code Black i would chase it left a bit more.
