Code Red vs Dare Devil Trick
« on: November 05, 2017, 03:59:11 PM »
I've decided to go all in on Storm/Roto. I'm shooting lights out with my Phaze II, and was watching the Intense at a tournament today... Wow.

Trying to decide certain spots in the bag right now, most notably step down from the Phaze II. If I were to compare the DDT and Code Red, I'm thinking CR is a touch longer with more continuation. I've also heard it's better straight up the boards, which is my A game.

Comparison feedback appreciated!

I have the C/R-you can play straighter with it as long as the back ends have some oil because if it hits dry it will move to much. I have better success playing more of a tweener shot with the C/R.
There's two kinds of music METAL and bullshit!

DDT for more oil/even continuous motion, CR for moving in, and more down lane motion, chasing the shot in, better transition ball.

If I only the CR and DDT to chose from as a step down from the Phaze 2, I would choose the CR because of the surface and overall difference from the Phaze 2.  The DDT is too similar to the Phaze 2 for any kind of step down or differential.

Another ball to think about would be the Marvel Pearl.  I roll with the Phaze 2 and Marvel Pearl, and I can handle almost any situation that I come across with that 1-2 combo.

I donít have a Code Red but I have the DDT. For me the DDT is great up the 10 to 14 but wonít make corner after that. Itís very slow in reponse to friction and I have to ball up to move in. But on the other hand after league I have played pot games with it standing left up 20 to 10 and it worked great.

I would think the IQ Tour OG would be a better choice.

I just drilled my Intense today and gave it whirl for 45 minutes. And will pick up a Code Red on Black Friday. I bought them as fun balls for my friday Night Vegas league because well itís suppose to be fun! Just go with the ball that will give more joy and smiles.
Taking the winter season off. But still subbing for friends and the sport shot league.
