Virtual energy released july 2009 and had major success. hyroad released oct 2008 and has had so much success that it is still being sold to this very day. frantic released in 2011 and has been tremendous success plus it won pete a few major titles...... HYBRID, HYBRID, HYBRID!!! come on storm, put another premier line hybrid out on the market. the orIgin core never went hybrid, neither did the nano coverstocks, and now the mad core may not go hybrid either from what I have observed over the past THREE YEARS.. i MEAN COME ON. your loyal customers have been waiting long enough

I drilled my Lucid 50* 5" 65* Just like one of my Criticals.
I actually found the CT stronger midlane and the Lucid stronger backend.

Really, did you lay them out the same?

Most definitely. The CT was on TV a lot...and you know Storm would rather see one with their name attached to it on the telecasts.

That and with the the critical getting long in the tooth, its a way to keep the same type of reaction on the market.

I don't think Storm is thinking that way. I think it's a way of just going with what actually works.

Now don't get me wrong, the differences I saw werent that extreme. Maybe two board difference max.

If you think the Nano Pearl rolled like a true pearl....you obviously never threw one. That ball rolled more like a hybrid...hence the reason for taking something out of the cover to create the Lucid.

russell i still own the nano pearl. I throw the nano pearl when i have enough oil and not a ton of carry down. the only comparison that it has with a hybrid is its strength. but the nano "pearl" is definitely a pearl. a hybrid reads earlier on lighter amounts of oil but a pearl like the nano pearl is designed to get through that front and bite on the dry. plus a hybrid is more versatile than a pearl. yea the nano pearl is versatile but it is has more restrictions that a hybrid would not have. a pearl gives more of a left turn motion, which is what the nano pearl gives. a hybrid gives you a little earlier read with a smoother and stronger motion than a pearl.. my nano pearl is extremely long and too strong for most shots that i throw it on. which is why i restrict my personal use with it unless im on a 43+ foot sport shot that doesnt have a lot of carry down. I am glad storm did not put out a nano hybrid. I wish the would have put out a hybrid invasion but then they decided to test the new nano coverstock on the shape lock core. so my hopes of that was ruined. i am now hoping they put a hybrid vivid out...

The four that i get to watch are definitely looking like pearls..all i see is over under..i purposely didnt buy it cuz i wanted a VE replacement..

ithinkican, do you read what you post or do you just post to hear yourself talk? You claim that the Nano Pearl is too strong for you and you can't throw it except when there is a lot of oil (which means you must have like 13mph ball speed or 500 RPMS, I am betting more on the 13MPH, cause my Nano Pearl is no hook monster on oil), and yet you are screaming, yes screaming thanks to the caps, about Storm putting out a Hybrid. A Hybrid will be smoother than a Pearl, but in case you didn't know, and apparently you don't, it will also hook more than a pearl. So how do you expect to throw this great new Hybrid you want, when you can't throw a Nano Pearl now?

find in my posts or comments where i said "I CANT THROW" the nano pearl. my rev rate is 490 to be exact. I never said it was a hook monster in oil either. that is why i clearly stated i throw it on 43+ foot patterns.. i also said i am glad storm did not put out a nano hybrid, I never once said they should have put out a nano hybrid. im talking more along the lines of an invasion hybrid or the vivid hybrid.

The Vivid hooks just as much as the VG Nano.....the Invasion is an old retired ball that they don't use anymore so how can you expect to see another one of those....get real. The bottom line is you are yelling about something, and bitching as well, that you won't be able to throw. If you can't throw a Pearl except on a 43 ft pattern, you won't be able to throw a Hybrid on anything less than that either. maybe if I put this in all caps you'll understand it....A HYBRID HOOKS MORE THAN A PEARL!! The shape is different, but the overall hook is more. This whole rant of yours is an EPIC FAIL.

the nano pearl is tremedously stronger than the virtual energy and the infinite theory. it all depends on the coverstocks. of course it makes a difference whether it is pearl or hybrid but the nano pearl is the second strongest ball storm has ever produced. look it up. the shape lock was retired too. then they came out with the nano coverstocks. they can do it again.
