Looking for the most continuation from a high performance bowling ball. I don't hear about a nano pearlnbeing compared to a lucid or defiant edge. So I was wwondering what's wrong with the nano pearl?

+1 on the defiant soul. I've had or have most the balls being discussed and the only one i really can use on most shots is the soul. The soul also burns up enough in the fronts once the lanes start braking down that i don't have to make big moves but it still has enough punch to get the corners out.....the critical is close to the soul for me to. I should add that my soul has mostly pearl in the initial track area and solid in the back flares which probably helps it from being pukey on fresh cause the defiant was immediate puke for me...

Got a used one in November. Averaging over 240 with it playing an extremely deep line to avoid the wet/dry I see in my league. 2-800's and a 300 in those three months. And I don't think I am throwing it well....lol. Man has the game changed.

And Jesse I hook it plenty. And can play straight like Norm Duke.....but the Nano Pearl is great either way. You should give it a second look with layout or cover tweaks. That core has been around 5 years for a reason.

Thanks for the info, Complete! I may have to give it a second look. My observations may actually have more to do with the volume of oil, or lack thereof, that I play on.....rather than the actual performance of the ball itself. I'll do a test and get back to you.

The first one is the best scoring I have had...it is set up at 4000 abralon going up step by step at every grit. (500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 as opposed to a 500, 4000 finish) The second one is a slightly stronger rolling layout with box finish. After I make an initial move left I have the option of making a second move if the lanes break again or going to that one and back to where I started the night.

Shot 770, 702 for doubles and singles in our state tournament doing this. Bouncing back and forth between the two as the lanes transitioned. I think the Nano Pearl, Defiant Edge, and Defiant Soul are the best three top end balls available.....and I try to test them all.

Give it a second look and don't be afraid to knock the shine off pearl covers. I have done this for years as I have plenty of speed and can sometimes push stuff through the break. Actually......I hated pearls until I understood more about cover prep. Have used the Gravity Shift as low as 2000 with great results.

Cover prep and how it matches up to your pattern and surface is the number one issue in bowling today. And probably most overlooked....lol.

I learned this with the Gravity Shift. I had spoken to our DM for Storm to tell him I wasn't real pleased with it on longer patterns. He told me to knock it down to 4000 first by hand and see what happened. I noticed it started to pick up at the spot a little better. He told me to knock it down to 2000 if that didn't get it. Now were talking! The ball was awesome to ball down to when my strong solids were starting to bounce off the pins.
