Which balls fit between ... ?
« on: December 30, 2008, 01:37:46 PM »
hi,

i recently purchased VG OOB (inside - heavy oil with strong drilling) and i got alrdy Rapid Fire Pearl OOB (track/outside - medium oil ± carrydown with control drilling). For me , VG is 10-12 boards stronger than my rapidFireParl !

VG is freaking too powerful, carry everything, and biggest recovery i ever seen in my life ! Hook alot more more than my NVD, i'll say far away !! i was very suprisely

I know VG was too strong for House pattern. I want to know which next balls i must to stick to complete my arsenal for encountering any pattern. VG will be useful for my tournaments.

What you think Gravity Shift for medium-heavy and HyRoad versus VG + RapidFirePearl ??

Gravity Shift is good ball for house pattern ?

Or any future new storm balls coming in 2009 ?

Thank in advance

The VG is definately a very stong ball from what I have seen. The hyroad is something that would be a lot smoother at ur break point. The ball is not strong but not weak. The gravity shift would be a little harder off the dry then the hyroad but would cover less boards then the vg.

The GS would be a fine ball for house shots.

I have a Hy-Road with the pin below my ring finger and the cg kicked left.  Using the box surface it got good length, and a smooth backend reaction.  I bowl on a medium oil, high friction old wood surface.

I just recently had the polish knocked off and the cover taken to 4000, but haven't thrown it yet.  This is the only new on the market ball I have bought so far, and because it's a nice piece will probably be the only one that I do.

I have the VG, Gravity Shift, and Rapid Fire Pearl.  The Gravity Shift is a great step down from my VG.  I have the VG with the number 2 drilling and my Gravity Shift with a 5x3 drilling.

My gravity shift is the first ball out of my bag, both at wood houses and synthetic.  It is one of the best balls Storm has produced.
