Storm has "owned" the bowling ball market for a while now. They just keep climbing and producing better and better equipment. So I am posting this thread just to talk about storm and see what balls you have liked since 2008. My top five favorite balls since 2008 in order from most to least are the VE, Frantic, victory road pearl, hyroad, and marvel. list what you have liked the most since 2008

Guess I better quit now lol!  Storm is definitely putting out the best equipment (for me anyway) right now.  Hard to argue with their success on the PBA Tour.  Out of all the balls I mentioned, the HyRoad is exactly what people say...the most versatile piece I've ever thrown.  I hope Storm keeps this one in the lineup for at least another 4 years.

In order from best to worst:

Frantic
Nano (solid)
IQ Tour (too new - only has 6 games on it)
Fire Road
Natural
Modern Marvel

The Frantic is one of my favorite balls ever and the Modern Marvel is probably the worst ball I have ever owned.

The thing is, I don't think the Modern Marvel is a bad ball at all - I just don't think I matched up well with it.  I put my favorite drilling on it and adjusted the surface a couple of times and could not find a condition that I could score with it.  I gave it to a righty who wants to practice throwing lefty - at least it still has a use!

Personally, I think just about every company makes good gear these days. It's just a matter of laying them out properly and getting the surface right. Still, there's no doubt that Storm has produced some great pieces. I've really liked all of the ones I've owned.
