What is the difference between the 2 balls? I would like to heard from people who might own both balls.

Can't talk technical about the two. I just know mine are both drilled conservative. The grand illusion is quite a bit stronger that the hyroad. The hyroad is drilled to be super smooth.

Threw both at a Storm/Roto Open House.  They gave me roughly the same number of boards covered, but the Hy-Road was more angular while the Grand Illusion was smooth as butter.  Both had the pin directly above the center of the bridge, though the Grand Illusion's pin was about a full inch closer to the fingers than the relatively high pin placement on the Hy-Road, which should account for some of the angularity.  However, since the Grand Illusion is 100% solid while the Hy-Road is a 50% solid, 50% pearl mixed hybrid, this accounts for the reaction shape differences as well.
