Domination - Pro Cg
« on: February 21, 2007, 07:39:38 AM »
I just received my Storm Paradigm Domination Pro CG from Bowlingball.com.  Holy cow is that thing whacky.

The pin, cg, and mass bias are so oddly placed it's crazy.

I'm going to take it to my driller and see what we can do with it.  Should be interesting.

Anyone interested in seeing some pics?

Blems balls with fancy names i am sure it is useable, i prefer x-comps only from storm if they are blems.

This is a bowling website.  We're always interested in seeing pictures of bowling balls.  Maybe you have a hot girlfriend or sister you could get to hold it, too.

^^^  haha...damn straight.. even a yummy mummy ... oh anyways, I just read through the drill sheet for the total NV and at the bottom there was a FAQ section...  one of the questions was regarding pin/cg/mb alignment (in this case the alignment when cg/pin/MB).  Their take is to place the pin where you want it, the MB where you want it and then deal with the statics by altering gripping hole depth and weight hole placement.  Now with the cg being WAY out of line, some layouts may be impossible... but anything within reason, I wouldn't worry about it too much...

That certainly is a unique approach to drilling MB balls.  Use the pin and MB and ignore the CG beyond static weight requirements.  Talk about innovation.

I'm not arguing.. just regirgitating waht I had read:

quote:

3) This X-Out that I received has the CG on the other side of the pin. This ball is undrillable???
Answer: This ball is certainly drillable. Repeat step # 1, and place the weight hole (it may be a large one) in the location that will remove the necessary weight (Above finger for example). In this case, it is also suggested that you drill the finger holes deep as well.

I'd like to see some pics, maybe I can give a suggestion on how to drill it. Those balls can be great or unusable depending on rh or lh and how you want to set it up. Joe

Yeah, being a lefty you should be able to put the MB anywhere you want without worrying about weight holes.

I can understand that when half the people that ask these questions don't bother to enter a profile.
