Title: Electrify Solid Review

Layout: 3-1/2" x 45 at box surface

The Electrify series is back this time with the Reactor Solid coverstock finished at 1500 polished.  The polish on this solid cover gives it more skid/flip qualities then you would technically see in a solid coverstock that's traditionally dull.  I drilled this ball with a 3-1/2" pin from my axis to handle my typical house shot on the fresh.  I tend to be more speed dominant with my release so I tend to look for balls to slow down enough in its skid phase.  When I first used this ball, I was amazed with the backend shape it gave me.  It was certainly unexpected as it was much more angular than anticipated.  Not only was I able to use this on the fresh, but the ball never stopped continuing as I bowled in game 2 and 3.  It was pretty refreshing to see a middle performance ball continue that well for so long.  Taking the polish off the coverstock for a 2000 surface helped me make the ball a little more controllable and have smoother backend motion as I originally expected the ball to do.  This ball brings a lot of performance for its price point and really shows off going down the lane.  Comparative to the Electrify Hybrid, the Solid actually gave me more angle in the backend and was usable for a longer period of time.  I would tend to use the solid on medium volume oil house patterns or medium to shorter sport patterns.
