Best skid/flip surface?

I got a Gravity Shift, about 5x4 or so...and was wondering what a good surface would be to get a good strong length, with a violent snap?

Like 4000 polished would give the most length, but would it be able to make the turn? I don't have a spinner or the $$$ to change the surface ten times, so would like someone's input...I was gonna do 2000 polished...

you should try the 500 grit then the 2000 grit abralon with factory

it's at 1500 polished now, i think...

4000 plus polish would give the ball the most length and the sharpest move at the end of the pattern as long as theres no carry down.

because the abrasive grit of the 500 will open more the ball pores and the 2000 will make them smoother this will help the ball to go further down the lane than plain 1500 and bt the way will have a bigger break.
you can add storm first step after the 2000 abralon this will go even further down the lane but the break wont be as impressive as the  one with just 2000

I know 4000 polished will give the most length and the sharpest move, but I throw over 20mph and don't want the ball to push through the breakpoint. I want length and strength. if 4000 polished will do that, i'll try it...but i will sacrifice a couple feet of length to get the hook i need on the backend.

A good compromise between length, snap and control has been for me a surface with 3M's Trizact rubbing compound (#50077) on a 2.000 or even 4.000 grit Abralon base. The result is a sanding-line free, shiny surface without wax additives, just the clean coverstock.
Very good length, and lots of traction off the dry with less jumping tendency than a polished ball. Surface becomes VERY tacky. Had great success with it on a Shock & Awe and on a Domination.
