Fear Factor and Phenom Unleashed...
« on: December 22, 2003, 06:08:13 PM »
My biggest problem has been oil, my shoots simply don't break enough (Apex Addiction, Aggression, TPC Shooter and Warrior) that I made the decision to go with a more aggressive ball.  I made the decision to try a Phenom unleashed, figuring that would give me the extra I needed.  It was a tough choice over the fear factor and the super carbide bomb.  Well last night an interesting thing happened.  A friend who owed me a couple of hundred bucks that he doesn't have, just got a brand new fear factor that he hasn't drilled yet.  Figuring I would never see the money, I now have a fear factor as well as my Unleashed on order.

Considering that I ended up with both of these, I'm looking for suggestions on how to set them up.  Originally, I was considering setting up the unleashed in a nutral/conservative setting considering I throw a conservative shot.  I am a basic down and in bowler shooting the 6-7 board, with medium/low speed and low revs, figuring the unleashed would give me that extra I was looking for so I can increase my ball speed back to the medium range (I've had to cut it back significantly to get the hook I need).  Now that I have the fear factor as well, would I be better off using the fear factor for that style of shot and making the unleashed really aggressive for when I need a stronger reaction?

I have in the past tried to increase my revs, and can increase them a little, but due to a previous wrist injury, I can't crank it anymore forcing me to stay with a more conservative style.  I can increase my speed easily though, so power isn't an issue.
