I'm getting a Fired Up for drier lanes or when i need more backend I'm getting it drilled same as Pete Weber did in the Bowlers Paradise tourny. Pin just above the middle of the fingers cg out to the right with an x-hole on the midline. Has anyone drilled a Fired Up this way and how did it reaction for you.

Inferno,
Regardless of how you decide to drill your Fired Up you'll find its strong suit is backend, and alot of it. I am not an advocate of copying a drilling from another bowler though. You need to seek guidance from a reputable ball driller. It's amazing how terrible a great ball can be with the incorrect drilling. I've learned that the hard and expensive way...LOL.

I would agree with Cathaclue, talk to your driller or someone who knows your game. They can help you more than we who don't know your game.
I can, however, speak of my experience. I think it is one of the best balls Storm has put out lately. I typically use mine later in tournaments or towards the end of a league night when the shot is pretty fried and my Ace or Vertigo are burning up too early. It really allows me to bump in and open up the lane. I drilled mine with the pin above the bridge, which for me is 5.5"(pin to PAP), cg swung right a bit putting the MB about 2" right of the thumb. I don't use it on a fresh shot as it will usually overreact.

I've been lucky long enough...now I'd like to get good.

Also note, the ball needs a beckend to react, carrydown will kill the reaction
My fired up absolutly HATES carry down. Get a diablo its a better ball.

In a way I'm copying my own drilling i drilled an Inferno like that and took the finish down to fit under my AI. My Inferno reads the midlanes great then goes nuts in the backend, i use for it carrydown and longer patterns. Considering the backend on the Inferno which is the low rg ball I'm thinking that the Fired Up with a higher rg will be more suited to use after the Inferno with a more burnt up lane. I mentioned the Pete Weber Drill as a reference.

I got one drilled for length and backend, but I think the pro shop operator messed up and it never quite worked like I wanted. Basically, I could'nt control the breakpoint and was getting too much over/under. It was also too similar to my Tsunami, but without the carry. I'm getting redrilled for drier conditions, so we'll see what happens.
