Title: Freakin Frantic...Freakin Fantastic
Post by: LuckyLefty on March 19, 2014, 11:23:36 PM
The title says it all.

This thing revs up, looks great, moves hard downlane and when right annihilates the rack.

When I get my ball looking like the left handed version of Scott Widmar's bowling video on youtube is when they start falling.  ie rounded midlane!

Played on constant friction rounds off the midlane and leads to strikes for me!

It is a ball that requires friction to be found fairly early to give it the shape that carries, then it is a monster with a gorgeous move.

Great matchup of core and strong coverstock for many league shots!

Billldozer, I found the Frantic a little sensitive to oil until I changed the surface to 500/polish. Now it reads the mids great and continues on the backend.coming out of my hand, it looks skid/flippy. On the other hand, it is mostly because I normally swing it into the dry 10 boards outside at 19 mph.

Hmm I might try it.  If I don't match up with it at first I eventually do down the road.  It is a bit rolly, so I plan to use it when I need a pearl and I have to play that norm Duke line....then the frantic will play! Haha

Anybody played with stronger/earlier layouts to round off the backend?

I love the idea of something really clean up front, but don't want to see any hockey stick reaction.

I double thumbed mine. With my 10* of tilt its strong off the spot but definitely not flippy.

I was thinking something with a lower DA sum like 45 x 3 x 30.  I've got a Misfit Pearl drilled to be more flippy and would like a smoother pearl to compliment
