Haven't seen a good one yet, fyi.

Very unpredictable motion.

I have seen about 12 roll now.

On beat up wood, beat up old synthetics, and newer synthetics.

No one, absolutely no one, will admit it's not "that good."

I mean most of the proshops have charged top dollar for em, and many Preordered them, many got it just cause of belmo (except their short 500 revs)...Yet no one will say it sucks.

Very weird. Most people will say yeah I hate it.

One poor guy went from the original batch phaze--his worn out VG nano hooks and carries circles around it btw-- to the timeless...I feel so bad!

Anywho...I threw one with my favorite layout very close to my span...All I can say is that it was so-so with my hyroad rolling much better.  Very marvel pearl like

I bowled in a March Madness Doubles tournament yesterday. One guy a few pairs down was using the Timeless and didn't do much in practice (was scouting for the next few games). He went front 7, stone 8, sheet for 279 and followed that with a 300 the next game. For his individual qualifying games he had 838 over 3 pairs.

Ball rolls great for him, but I do agree. I have seen the ball in about 5 people's hands and for 2 of them, the ball is magic. The other 3, not so much. I would almost say junk for the other 3.

I had success with the Hy-road, does anyone think that I would find success with the Timeless?

I'm curious about getting one, but I'm also hesitant because of it being created by/for Belmonte and his style is the complete opposite of mine.

Keep in mind, I've never thrown a timeless(yet). But in reading about it, the impression I get is that it reminds me of blade irons. It takes a highly skilled player to use them, and even then the fit has to be perfect. I also think that a lot of people are having issues because they're getting it drilled with their "favorite setup."  I think this one is gonna be on storm and the pro shops to figure out a good layout for the ball. From there it's on the bowler to trust the different than normal layout

Agree with the blade iron analogy.  I've never thrown the Timeless but from what I have seen, it seems to have same strong backend reaction no matter which part of the lane it is thrown.  So works well if you are really accurate and can hit your spot over and over but if you are like me (and most of us) and spray it around a little on the THS, it will not hold as much if tugged in the oil and go little too long before recovering if missed right.

My only comment is LO-fricken-L at paying a premium for a hyroad with Belmos ugly silhouette on it.

The only reason why this ball exists is because Belmo renegotiated his contract with storm to include a percentage of ball sales for this ball.

I'm a consumer, and I don't drink the Kool aid. I'm calling this as I see it. I was screwed on the crux, phaze, fight.  Hype is silly these days...

Here is my thoughts. First I like to say that if you are bowling on a FRESH house shot,it will do what a pearl going to do in all that oil. I am a Hammer Head and I have the Timeless at out of box surface. This ball is for when the lanes breakdown PERIOD. I have thrown my friends Code Black and it leaves a lot of splits. I am not a down and in player. I stand on 35 or 37 and yes I am a two hander. For me the Timeless is better then the Code black.
I think a lot of people don't like it because Belmo had something to do with this ball or they thought they was going to have all the revs and speed Belmo has(I bought my second timeless for 50.00 from someone who said it didn't look like belmo, That is another story lol). For those who don't like it just break the cover and stop thinking that it is a Hy road (which a lot of people was hoping for when this ball was being announce.
This ball is like all other balls. It works for some and not others. No one on here can name one ball that everybody could agree that it works for everyone. I will take an example from Hammer: The Scandal I love, but people was screaming for a pearl and saying that they hate this ball and it wouldn't move for them  ??? . So the Pearl comes out and more people like this ball, but they say it don't move in the oil  ???.
I believe if Belmo had nothing to do with this ball and it was called Hy road IQ tour etc. etc. this would't be a conversation.
One fact that everyone is saying is STORM HYPE TRAIN. Is this the only bowling company who push their product like it is a superstar?

Seen a few use this ball now. One a low rev guy with the pin likey close to 6" from his pap and the others I'm not sure of.

This is a mid performance style ball sold in a high performance category.  It's been done before.

The biggest thing I see with this ball for most bowlers is its a harder surfaced ball with a 500/1000/2000/4000 plus polish finish.

So the ball will go for days and respond quickly to friction. For most bowlers on fresh conditions it is an over under nightmare. Surface adjustments can make it far more forgiving for the masses on a larger variety of conditions. In many cases this surface adjustment doesn't happen until the ball is plugged and re-drilled and magically rolls better.

I don't use storm but think I'd like this ball at 2000 sanded. Maybe 500/1000/2000 depending on the coverstock hardness.

I agree

Just like the phaze and phaze II I feel the solid version will fair better than the pearl. Which is the opposite of the optimus pearl (being a lil better recieved than the solid).

Can't we just go back to the marvel line PWWEEAASSEE!?!?

The solid and pearl are the last time the master line was well received!!!

The funny thing about the Timeless to me is that everyone bought the hype before it came out.  This is the opposite of the Frantic, which, built up hype based on results.

Do your homework and stop buying on spec...

I had the other 2 that were not as well received - a Marvel-S and a Modern Marvel and neither matched up well.  I should not have drilled the Marvel-S pin down so that's somewhat on me (and yes, there were surface changes).  The Modern Marvel may have been the worst ball I've ever owned.  It reminded me of a plastic ball with 180 grit - just the worst ball motion at any surface I tried.

I run a code black and it bites way too hard come second game. But comes back around 3rd game. I'm thinking the timeless would fit nicely once my code black is done. I'm still fairly newb but I am learning quickly to keep my hand behind the ball. I have become a down and in player so hoping it'll fit well.
